  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 11:54 PM) I'd love to have Bosh in a Bulls uniform as a plan C to Love and Melo. +1
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 10:28 PM) I mean he has two championships and there was probably only one other on his team. Not sure if serious.
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 09:34 PM) Well this was fun. Let's start the Duncan/Pop/Manu retirement speculation! I thought Pop said he wanted to continue coaching
  4. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 08:35 PM) Yeah, if Manu played like this last year, they would've beaten Miami. Hell, if he would have made one more free throw in game 6 they would have beaten Miami. They're just dismantling them this year.
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 02:09 PM) Say the Spurs complete the beat down tonite, do you think the Heat go Pistons and stomp off the court? No way
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 12, 2014 -> 11:01 PM) The Bulls never faced a more talented team in the NBA finals and post bad boys Pistons they never played a more talented team in the playoffs. The one series loss LeBron deserves criticism for is the finals loss to the Mavericks. This year the Heat's defense is just getting absolutely shredded by the Spurs and there isn't a whole lot LeBron can do about that on his own. Jordan is the greatest of all time but the amount of criticism LeBron still gets is laughable. Lebron gets criticized because he's being compared to the elite of the elite. There are people everywhere that were starting to think that he was better than MJ. GOAT threads everywhere, people wondering if this was the greatest playoff run ever, etc. His failures are going to be magnified. It probably doesn't help how he teamed up with two hall of famers and then talked about how many championships they would win. One could argue that the 98 Jazz team was a bit more talented due to Pippens back ailments, but that's not a big deal either way.
  7. It's about time Lebron started doing something. Dude is the best player on the planet. He should do this always.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 12, 2014 -> 09:24 PM) Too many people think the Heat are out of this game. I think everyone knows they have a run in them and they could possibly win. They're still down by 19 at halftime though.
  9. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jun 12, 2014 -> 09:04 PM) Where's J4L to remind us how easily the Heat were gonna roll the Spurs? Every offesnsive possession by the Heat looks forced and sloppy while the Spurs are getting clean looks. He's busy flipping coins to see who is better: Lebron or Jordan.
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 07:22 PM) What a bunch of p*****s. If that happens, so long NBA. I won't watch another minute, and I hope everyone else does the same. [/color]Pleeeeease. You just mad they didn't go to Chicago. Why the hate?"
  11. I guess Lebron really, really wants to try to get to those six rings. By any means necessary. Although it'll be funny when Carmelo completely changes his game to become a glorified role player so that Lebron fans can continue with the "he doesn't have enough help" stuff.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 01:08 PM) That doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. Sounds like sour grapes. To gather a rebound you have to box out (on a man) and be in a good rebounding position. Both of those are huge positives. If he left his man it would most likely be a layup resulting in no rebound. So the theory doesnt correlate. I don't watch many Wolves games at all, so I'm just relaying what I've heard. I'd love to have Love (not for Noah). I think the theory correlates though in that you don't always have to box out to get a rebound, he can crash the offensive boards when he shouldn't (which leads to fast breaks), and he can selfishly take rebounds from teammates (I heard Lance Stephenson started doing this in the second half of the season to pad his stats for free agency. Heard it from someone reputable on sports radio. Might have been Zach Lowe or someone he was interviewing). Again, I have no idea if Love actually does this and it very well could be sour grapes. I just don't think it's that unbelievable of a theory
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 10:50 AM) I think his point was that he would leave his man to get into rebounding position, opening up better shots. He was sacrificing his responsibilities for the sake of getting the stat. I'm not saying the guy isn't a great player. I just think he's a really good, all-start caliber player whose stats might be a little inflated given who he has played for and who he has had to play with. Didn't see this before my post. +1
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 10:50 AM) Right. If you get the rebound you are in position. If he's padding his stats by grabbing rebounds, why would that be a bad thing? The idea is that he is "out of position" by compromising his defensive position before the shot to be in position to grab the rebound. He'll gamble and teams can take advantage of his gambling (which they do) if they don't, then he can get the rebound. I have heard that about him also.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 10, 2014 -> 10:53 PM) 9 of 14 shooting isn't awful. The fact he only shot 14 is. Exactly, not to mention he had 7 turnovers. The efficiency looks good, but everybody could see he was pretty awful in that game, especially in the second half. I think he was just 3-5 with 5 turnovers in the second half.
  16. Lebron has been awful this game. I expect a huge game 4.
  17. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 10, 2014 -> 09:18 PM) Lebron with 9 shots that half. Nine. With his team down 20 for most if it. And he has been pretty unguardable this series. He has been hitting his jumper at a crazy rate and they can't stop him on the block. He should have been shooting until he got cold. It's not as though they would have gone down more if he missed a few.
  18. Solid quarter by the Spurs. Pretty good for a team that lost TWTW after last game.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 09:54 PM) The Spurs are not going to win in Miami. This is just like the Indy series. These teams beat the Heat once and don't have the same WTW the second game, then before you know it, it's a crucial split. Manu played like s*** the last 2-3 minutes. Miami is going to bring it back to S.A. up 3-1. I wouldn't discount a Miami win in game Five, but Spurs will likely salvage game five, then Miami wraps it up at home. Once again, the genius Gregg Popovich shows he's just like any other coach. Scott Brooks would have gotten fried for losing this game down the stretch. Players win games. Bosh hit the huge shot; LeBron was great on both ends. Heat turned it up on defense in crunch time. Result a victory. A bit extreme. The Spurs are a much, much better team than the Pacers.
  20. Nadal -120 and Miami +160 was probably the easiest parlay I've ever made considering the value. I don't think anyone expected them to take both in San Antonio. I expect the Spurs to take one in Miami too. E: Great game by Lebron too.
  21. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 10:43 PM) So is The Cramp on par with such Finals moments as The Shrug and The Flu Game? He did something Jordan never did, left a game with a cramp in the finals. Not comparing, just saying.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 10:35 PM) Thanks. Spurs win and sox get rodon. What a good night...
  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 10:02 PM) SA throwing the ball away every other trip down the court. Yup.20 turnovers so far.
