QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 12, 2014 -> 12:09 PM) Yeah and Manu hasn't been useless like last year. The Spurs look better and I still think Miami is worse than last year. Something has to happen again. It always does for Miami. I'm going to guess Parker gets hurt soon or in the finals (like he did last year).

QUOTE (bmags @ May 11, 2014 -> 11:18 AM) Wesley Johnson was just drafted from Vanderbilt, and was who Sam got 3 sacks against. I've had to post this same thing multiple times and the same stupid line keeps coming up. Sam also had a sack against Georgia taken away because of another lineman lining up in neutral zone and multiple near sacks of Manziel in that game. He also sealed the mizzou Bowl victory with a strip sack seen above. He got SEC Player of the Year for more than 3 games. By the way, Sam had 0 sacks against Wesley Johnson as he was lined up on the right side nearly the whole game. Ealy was the primary matchup for Johnson. So if you're going to continuously have to shoot down the 3 game thing, using Wesley Johnson as evidence isn't the best call.

If he was a better talent he would have gone before the 7th round. And it's not like I'm the only one who brings up the 9 sacks thing. It's always brought up as to why he has fallen. Near sacks aren't sacks. He had a good year and was a good college player, but he's likely to fail in the nfl.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 11, 2014 -> 11:08 AM) Oh I know he fell because of that, but has a combine alone ever dropped a projected 2nd/3rd with a number of accolades to fall completely out of the draft? (That's actually a legitimate question, not just saying it for effect) Burfict dropped a ton after a horrible combine. Wasn't even drafted and is now a starting linebacker for the bengals. Sam not only had a horrible combine, but his tape didnt look great after they figured out he got 9 sacks against 3 teams and might have benefited from playing with other talented players on the mizzou line. He also doesn't have a position in the nfl.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:26 PM) Awesome pick. +1. Huge pick

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:47 PM) Fuller is actually one of the few which was a solid value where he was taken (along w/Jeffrey). This looks like Emery getting cute. We should have moved down, imo. I think we should have actually moved up once Jernigan fell so much.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:42 PM) God damn it. He did it again... Ferguson wasn't even the best DT on his team. Anthony Johnson was better. I watch a ton of SEC football and he never stood out to me at all. This is exactly what I said about Bostic last year, and so far, I've been proven right. God, I hope I'm so wrong. But this is another questionable pick. Fuller isn't really questionable in terms of talent. I didn't agree with you on that one. I definitely agree with you on this one. Such a reach. I hate it and I hope I'm wrong.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:35 PM) Mizzou fan in me: Shocked that Ealy has fallen this far. Saw some mocks say the Bears would take him and try to move him to DT. ESPN does not like the pick. I was praying for Ealy. Not even to move him to DT. We could play Houston at DT in spots. I'm depressed now.

I hate the rams.

QUOTE (Jake @ May 8, 2014 -> 11:14 PM) IMO, you can't say don't draft a G in the first round out of principle, but then say it's a bad idea to pick a CB when there are great S on the board And in the next paragraph he said we should have taken David DeCastro, a guard, in the previous years first round. I do agree that we should have taken DeCastro there though. I thought he was a great value, but I think he tore his acl his rookie season. We would have still had some issues.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 8, 2014 -> 09:57 PM) Emery said he will stay at corner and play nickel downs mostly this year. If that is the case it is a bad pick for 2014 playing only 3rd downs in the nickel over a starting safety does not help the Bears much in 2014. In 2015 Fuller taking over for Peanut at corner the pick will help alot more then. This isn't 10 years ago. Nickel is played much more often than that. E: For example, two years ago the Bears played Nickel 53% of the time

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 8, 2014 -> 09:51 PM) We'll see. He's more athletic for sure but I'm not sold on him making NFL throws at all. He kind of put to bed a lot of the arm strength questions recently. He has a more than adequate arm. His issue is height and off the field stuff really. And his propensity to hold the ball too long

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 8, 2014 -> 09:45 PM) I think the Browns just drafted Colt McCoy again. I hope I'm wrong though as I actually like Johnny football. Johnny is a much, much better player than McCoy. He has got much better physical tools.

Don't be surprised if he moves to safety: “I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being a safety,” a second scout said. “He’s just a really good football player from the standpoint he knows what he’s seeing. There were a couple games he played the Will linebacker spot against the option teams. He’s just a smart football player, and he’s got the talent, too. I’m not going to say he can’t play corner in the NFL, but I think he has the potential to be a Pro Bowl-caliber safety, whereas he doesn’t have the elite speed outside, that might hurt him at times out there (at cornerback).” From: http://www.packersnews.com/article/2014043...;nclick_check=1

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 5, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) 0pts 0 rebounds 5 fouls Wizards going to the conference finals They actually could give the heat some issues too. They have good size with Nene and Gortat, and I'm don't think the heat have anyone to keep wall from penetrating.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 5, 2014 -> 12:07 PM) lost out on Kennard but picked up the 47th ranked kid in the country as a replacement. Not bad. I read he will help you guys with Elijah Thomas also. Solid pick up -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 4, 2014 -> 01:15 PM) Nets with a really good 2nd quarter. Thornton went off. If Brooklyn wins there will be four really good matchups. No sure things anywhere, although the heat will still be huge favorites.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 07:30 AM) I'm just surprised everyone is suddenly so friendly with her. They used to hate her. (Partly because she's bats*** crazy.) Thank you.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 08:34 PM) Nope, the Pacers just aren't very good right now. They remind me of the 93 Knicks. Except they're terrible.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 24, 2014 -> 03:53 PM) Anyone watch Money Talks on CNBC? Watching on demand. About sports betters in Vegas. Any highlights you'd like to share? Just noticed you said on demand. I'll get around to watching it myself.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 09:45 PM) They tied it but having that be your last play when you have two great offensive threats shows how much of a hack Brooks is. I don't think they'll ever win a championship under him. He was a major reason they lost to the heat two years ago and I suspect will be a major reason when they lose in the playoffs this year.

Durant just hit a ridiculous 3 and got the and 1 to cut the lead from 5 to 1 with 13 seconds left. Amazing shot
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 09:46 AM) Doesn't this mean you have the Bulls beating the Pacers? Yes. The pacers aren't very good anymore...
-
Toronto lost today. That's huge for the Bulls as they'll likely make the ECF if they get the 3 seed. It's also not great for the Heat as they're likely to face both Brooklyn and the Bulls if the standings hold up. The Heat should win both, obviously, but its not the easiest of paths.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 06:33 PM) Bears add center Brian de la Puente Really interesting signing. He was very good under kromer two years ago.
