  1. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 31, 2014 -> 11:46 AM) I will. The Spurs or Thunder will beat the Heat this time. I wouldn't be surprised if either happened, but I like the spurs chances much more than the thunder's. The thunder have more talent, but they 1) have Scott Brooks as the coach, and 2) their offense goes into iso mode a lot which isn't the way to beat the heat (probably due to Brooks). The Spurs are better than last year. Leonard is playing at a higher level, Manu is playing at a higher level than last year, and they just seem healthier. They went small against the Thunder last game (and brought Splitter off the bench) so they'll likely do something similar to the heat. Their ball movement is killer at points and they have homecourt advantage. It's going to be an interesting series if it happens and to completely dismiss the Spurs is kind of crazy.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2014 -> 09:53 PM) Jesus. I expected at least a competitive game. Pacers had their chance last year when Wade was hobbled and Bosh was puttin' up boxscores of like 5 and 5. I'll be shocked if the finals goes more than 5 games. If a terrible Indiana team can take the heat to 6 I don't see why the western conference can't. I do think the heat win, but the spurs would give them some problems again.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 29, 2014 -> 08:17 AM) I like the format, actually. I can't stand Jordan and am glad he's gone. What a moron. Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Jordan's either, but he was adding drama to the house, which I generally appreciate. I was thinking if he stayed around that he'd eventually feud with CT (we saw some semblance of that in that van ride). It's hard for me to see lots of conflict with the men because a lot of the younger guys seem somewhat passive and Bananas and CT seem friendly this season. That can obviously turn in a moment though.
  4. I could definitely see flipping a coin between Lebron and Jordan. 2/10 for 7 points and passing up an attempt to tie the game on the last possession. In the ECF no less. Could definitely see Jordan doing that.
  5. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 28, 2014 -> 11:39 AM) PG-Magic SG-Jordan SF-Lebron PF-Duncan C-Wilt That team my be the best players at their individual positions, but the spacing would be awful. Lebron and magic would be almost redundant as neither of them are great off the ball. And yeah, that's more than the alloted money
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 28, 2014 -> 11:05 AM) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Boq7o1WIUAEpqvP.jpg:large PG- Frazier SG- Jordan SF- Lebron PF - Duncan C- Hakeem PG - Stockton SG- Jordan SF- bird PF- Duncan C- Hakeem
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:00 AM) Didn't see a proposed deal. Just that the Wizards are a legit sleeper and that Love wouldn't mind playing there. I don't see what they could give up outside of Beal. And that would be counter-productive. Yeah, I can't see that happening without Beal and I wouldn't do that if I was the wizards
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 27, 2014 -> 09:44 AM) 38-44, 30-52, 40-42. Those were the Bulls' records MJ's first three years. So yeah, you don't want to use that argument. And with that, I'm done. I can't believe I got sucked into this s*** again simply for pointing out facts. You seriously bolded the one year Jordan started 7 games? Biased much? It wasn't just pointing out facts. You specifically compared it to Jordan's bulls and the Kobe/Shaq lakers teams even though you know damn well this eastern conference is terrible. You're trolling. It is what it is.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:35 PM) First you throw out an individual game (game 1) now you're talking about playoffs as a whole. in the ''95 playoffs, Jordan averaged 31.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.5 apg, 2.3 spg, 1.4 bpg, 48% shooting, 37% 3pt shooting. They had no pf to speak of. That's why they lost. And he had his lowest o rating ever, his highest TO% ever, and one of his worst d ratings ever. And they still took Orlando took to 6 games with a subpar mike and no power forward. Sure, if they had a better power forward they probably win, but if they have 93 or 96 mike even they have a much better chance of winning. Not saying they would win. And I was throwing out game one as just an example. Using his whole playoffs and even his 17 regular season show that he wasn't the same. Every single advanced statistic supports that. I know you don't want to agree because you want to trivialize Jordan for some odd reason, but the statistics are there...
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:26 PM) Was that Jordan's first 8 turnover game of his career? I doubt it. Was that his first awful shooting game of his career? Hell no. Like I said, MJ was pretty damn good in that series. Orlando's frontcourt was the difference. So just disregard all the numbers that suggest he wasn't the same. Got it. I'll agree that Jordan still played well, but I'll side with the numbers that suggest he wasn't at the level of dominance he was at in every other playoffs he's played in.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:10 PM) Jordan averaged 31+ on 48% shooting against Orlando. They didn't have Horace. A guy that was severely underrated as a Bull. That's why they lost. Jordan averaged 4 turnovers per game in that series. He had 8 turnovers in a 3 point loss. You have your opinions, I have mine. Jordan was usually much better with the ball. His o rating was its lowest ever in the playoffs. His d rating was his third worst ever and the worst after 1987. Horace might be the reason, but Jordan still wasn't the same.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:03 PM) Anything to hate on the Bulls. Yeah, Jordan clearly wasn't the same. He had his worst playoffs outside of his rookie season. Maybe they still lose to Orlando if mike is mike, but he was definitely a bit rusty. To say otherwise is silly. The numbers back it up.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2014 -> 09:48 PM) And that's a wrap. Heat about to do something Jordan's Bulls and Shaq/Kobe Lakers never did: 4 straight trips to the finals. I can't believe I fell for the, "well, it's just too damn hard to get to the finals 4 times in a row" bulls***. Yeah, similar to the western conference in the 80s when the lakers made the finals four straight years once and played in 9 finals in like 12 years. The pacers wouldn't have gotten out of the first round in the west.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 23, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) Alright, enough of 2k5 and his lameness. I have a question for those who follow college hoops extensively. Can Doug McDermott play? And I would also like to know about Noah from Indiana. Thank you for your time. I'll defer to zoom on these, but I've heard McDermotts jumpshot is good enough to make him a korver type guy at least. A bit bigger and maybe not as great at the three (but still above average). Probably better at creating although he doesn't have next level athleticism. I like vonleh a lot. He's going to be a plus rebounder no matter what and I really like his offensive upside.
  15. I have no idea why there has to be some sort of justification for hating Lebron and the Heat. I can only imagine Bulls fans in the late 80s saying "Come on guys, why do you hate the Pistons? They're a great team and Isaiah is really a stud point guard who even tried to make it so that he was drafted by the Bulls" Or Celtics fans in the 80s "Come guys, why the hate for Magic and the Lakers? Magic is one of the most pleasant stars in the league and it's showtime baby, how entertaining is that?" How about the Knicks fans of the early 90s? "Come on guys, why the venom for Jordan and the Bulls? He's likely the greatest player ever and you should just appreciate his presence." Or the Pacers fans of the 90s, "Come on guys, lets not hate the Knicks or Bulls. They both have fantastic players and we should just appreciate them." I'm sure Kings fans were questioned for disliking the Lakers in the early 00s. I'm sure Trailblazers fans rooted for the lakers too (Come on guys, how many times do you get to see talents like Kobe and Shaq pair up?" This is idiotic. How many fans root for dynasties across sports? Do you think the majority of the people liked the Patriots? Do a lot of nonhawks fan root for them? (I honestly don't know that one because I'm not huge with hockey) Maybe I'm just more passionate than others. It reminds me of a friend that asked me, "Why do you hate Aaron Rodgers? He owns." I know he owns, but that doesn't stop me from hating his f***ing guts.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 22, 2014 -> 12:36 PM) Not if you could work it into being a sign and trade type deal ahead of time. And it could definitely make it more appealing for Lebron to come back (if they can afford it).
  17. Lance Stephenson came to play this series.
  18. Wiggins has to go 1. Has to. But it is Cleveland...
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 14, 2014 -> 07:23 PM) Steve Kerr to GS, says no to Knicks Wow
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 14, 2014 -> 02:55 PM) Sounds like something a little coaching might help. Ha, possibly. I don't think Spoelstra is a great coach by any means, but there were times they got Lebron the ball in the post against guys like Jason Terry and JJ Barea and he couldn't do anything. He got touches, but just played passive while everybody scrutinized him. He would have needed one hell of a motivator to help him out. He just mentally checked out that series.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 14, 2014 -> 02:29 PM) No joke. A trained monkey could win titles with that team. Since one wasn't available, they had to make do with Spo, and it took them an extra year. It took them an extra year because Lebron cowered in the corner against the Mavs, not because of Spo either IMO. The Heat are absolutely loaded, but people forget that now because Wade and Bosh are role players with Lebron.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 13, 2014 -> 04:25 PM) Darious Paul suspended for the entire year and loses his scholarship. Guess that racist town finally made a racist out of Groce too. I wonder what they're going to do with the extra scholarship.
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 12, 2014 -> 12:32 PM) You know, for all the s*** he gets (and returns) at least J4L isn't afraid to say what he thinks. I think most people say what they think on here. They just don't think things like that.
