  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 15, 2015 -> 03:08 PM) The Cowboys game on Sunday night two years ago when it was like -20 degrees was a beat down. None of the Cowboys wanted to be there You know, if the Bears could have closed against Minny and Detroit they could be tied for first. That's f***ing crazy Oh yes, I remember that, Ditka was honored at halftime and wanted to get the f*** out of there too, he was so cold.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 15, 2015 -> 03:03 PM) After that opening drive the Bears just stepped on their throat I wonder when the last time was that the Bears straight dominated an opponent like that. That Tennessee road game a few years ago?
  3. Now we know why Chip was so willing to trade Foles.
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 15, 2015 -> 01:27 PM) The Bears coaching staff is destroying the Rams' coaching staff today. The game has really passed Fisher by. He sucks and trying to involve Welker as much as they are today is just dumb. Which is crazy because that first drive was the complete opposite
  5. Zach Miller! Rams D was more embarrassing than the Bears on that one
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 15, 2015 -> 12:12 PM) That was a Mel tucker like d to start out. They were completely confused on every play. And being confused by a Jeff fisher offense...is not good. Every play somebody was wide open. Foles inaccuracy was their only defense. Might be switching to Red Zone channel extra early today
  7. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 09:50 PM) I'm calling it. John Klingberg is your Norris Trophy winner. Better win it now before Rasmus Ristolainen wins the next 10.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 09:51 PM) Stanford eliminated from playoff contention. And the only other Pac 12 team with a playoff chance is down 17-7.
  9. One of the suicide bombers had a ticket to the France Germany soccer game, tried to enter, but security found his explosive vest, was turned away and blew himself up. http://www.wsj.com/articles/attacker-tried...away-1447520571
  10. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 07:35 PM) Corey Dickerson career home/away splits Coors Field: 1.095 OPS Away: .695 OPS Coors Field is a silly field. I think there is an adjustment period when they leave Coors Field, which makes their road numbers even worse. It's something to keep in mind with the Rockies, I don't think their road numbers are an exact portrayal of how they would perform on a different team.
  11. IS statement: Attacks in response to France's campaign against fighters and insults against Islam's prophet, country to remain top target unless policies change - @Reuters http://www.breakingnews.com/item/2015/11/1...to-frances-camp
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 06:32 PM) Wonder why Paris. France has always seemed the most vulnerable of the Western European countries, there seems to be a base of terrorists networks established there already, just waiting for the time to strike. Reading some accounts of the concert hall are pretty awful, it sounds like the cops had to bust in and risk civilian casualties to prevent numerous more casualties.
  13. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 08:52 AM) I wouldn't say "doom", but Dale Tallon knew when he signed that long term contract that Hossa would give the team some bad seasons. I just think we all got used to this concept of Hossa's "immortality". He lost a step maybe two seasons ago, but now he looks like he has aged a lot more. Hopefully that's not true, but it's certainly possible. When the contract was signed, I think he was only expected to play two more seasons or so. That's why his "salary" is only $1 million for the final 4 seasons. What will happen with that and the new salary cap rules? No idea.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 08:40 PM) Without knowing too much, why not Gustafsson With Keith and Rosival coming back this weekend, it sounds like Gustafsson and Svedberg are out because they have two way contracts, Daley and Runblad dont.
  15. I think I enjoy World Cup Qualifying more than the actual tournament. I like having every country involved, no matter how small, especially the road games the US has to embark on. Either national "stadiums " on tiny islands or the larger nations where the fans are actually wishing death upon the players behind barbed wire. Or throwing bottles of urine. I have been to one qualifier, vs. Honduras at Soldier Field. Place was loudest I have ever heard it, although there were 50,000 Honduras fans.
  16. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 03:21 PM) @RapSheet 3m3 minutes ago Rough week. RT @ChicagoBears: #Bears DL Ego Ferguson (on IR) has been suspended for next four games for violating NFL policy on PEDs He wasn't gonna play the next 4 games anyway.
  17. I've learned that when a lender schedules an appraisal, it tends to appraise for the exact value they are looking for. Funny how that works.
  18. QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 11:39 PM) Server is the #1 job in the world for women. There would certainly be plenty of resistance because of that. Also, the thread title is misleading. Joe's Crab Shack is trying it out at SOME of their stores. This isn't much of a movement. As a server, if I worked at Joe's Crabs Shack and they took away tips and were going to pay the servers 12-14/hr I would go to a different restaurant before they could put the new rule in effect. Incentivizing is important. From the consumer's point of view, I understand the argument but if you took away the carrot in front of the server it would change the quality of work. I'm sorry but I don't buy this argument at all. It's still a job, you still have customers who can complain, bosses who can fire you, you aren't gonna just stop doing your job because you aren't working for tips. Your "incentive" is to keep your job and keep getting paid.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 02:37 AM) Anybody going to Kentucky/Duke, Kansas/Michigan State on Tuesday? I may be coming in for the games if anybody wants to meet me in person for Sox chat in the U. Center. Hey has anybody used Uber for transportation to and from games? I know cabs sometimes don't want to go to the U. Center. Oh greg
  20. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 05:25 PM) Looks about equal to me. What am I missing on Hicks? What am I missing on Murphy? He seems like a backup. Hicks is more of an everyday player to me.
  21. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 06:12 PM) Thank you. Dont worry, I had you included in the 78 anyway.
  22. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 11:13 AM) I'm not sure what I have said that makes you so malicious about this, but let's be clear. I am a Blackhawks fan and a Hockey fan. The Dallas Stars are on my television and not blacked out and they are fun to watch. I love hockey and I love the way the Stars play (reminiscent of a 2008-2009 Blackhawks team) Stop questioning my fandom. I don't question yours. And the Stars never ever beat Toronto and I'm not sure why. There was no questioning of your fandom in my post. I legitimately just thought you were a Stars fan, so I was joking about the loss to the Marlies last night. If you are not, then OK, I'll save my jokes for one of the other 78 people in the state of Texas that care about hockey.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 01:03 PM) Yankees PR Dept. ‏@YankeesPR 35s36 seconds ago The @Yankees announced that they have acquired OF @AaronHicks31 from the Minnesota @Twins in exchange for C John Ryan Murphy. That seems like an absolute steal for the Yankees.
  24. Michael Wright, 35, played basketball at Farragut and Arizona, was on the Farragut team with Ronnie Fields and Kevin Garnett. Apparently the victim of foul play in this incident.
