I remember laughing at Theo because he just kept acquiring middle infield prospects. Like you said, those things always work themselves out.

People can agree with the premise of a rebuild, but also disagree with and criticize the people that are in charge of it. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. The roster and some scouting people were blown up, but the head honchos are the same ones who struggled to be successful year after year.

Before the game I was so worried about the Bears secondary injuries, I completely ignored how bad and depleted the Bucs were. No doubt that Mitch played well, but some of those receivers were so freaking wide open, it was crazy. I think it was the Bellamy touchdown they showed Cohen celebrating when the ball was still in the air, cause he knew it was a TD. First place headed into the bye!

Misery loves company! Part of my problem has been that I've read way too much Joe Sheehan on Twitter, who has a very anti-owner sentiment. While I was never the biggest Jerry fan in general, it has led me to question how limited team's resources truly are, and in turn more pessimism about the chances of Sox signing a Machado or Harper. As a small business owner myself, I fully understand that a business needs to be profitable, however I don't think major sports franchises should be looked at the same as other businesses. Your #1 goal should be to fill your trophy case with championships. And the owners aren't depending on the teams to make a living, they are already very wealthy individuals from other lines of work.

Something happened at halftime of that Saints playoff game. From that moment in time, they went from an elite defense to just plain bad.
