October 1, 20187 yr Not happening thanks to unaggrressive ownership, but just curious how many of us would go be interested in Scioscia? IMO Ricky sucks and managers like this don't often come around (I was all for Francona over Robin too but KW had other plans), we need to be rewarded for supporting this SHIT, I know this isn't happening but not sure of logical way to reward us...Not getting Machado/Harper, HOPEFULLY don't spend like 2014 on aging mediocrity, can't just stand pat another offseason with the same awful staff and lacking roster
October 1, 20187 yr Definitely one of the more overrated managers. No clue how he lasted as long as he did,
October 2, 20187 yr Doesnt believe in sabermetrics at all. Also was proven to cost his team the playoffs by going with his "instinct" during Mike Napoli's first or second year. Angel's are kicking themselves in the ass for picking him over Dipoto imo.
October 2, 20187 yr Pointless this team is at least two years away from contending putting a veteran manager in charge of things is not the way forward. Maybe in two years its time to consider the next scioscia but what is important now is someone who is patient and willing to work with out young players.
October 2, 20187 yr Id do Bruce Bochy after 2019 but otherwise would prefer just a clubhouse guy that follows FO directions
October 2, 20187 yr Scioscia is a dinosaur still living off the glory of winning the WS fifteen years ago. He had a good career, and should retire.
