Sunday's Chargers/Raiders game moved to a 8:35 PM Pacific kickoff time due to the stadium prep after the A's playoff games Friday/Saturday night. That's gonna end at 3 AM on the East Coast.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 10:16 PM) Opening night ticket for my birthday? Sweet, can't wait to go tomorrow. Be in your seat by 6:30 for the banner raising ceremony. I'll be there too, pumped since I missed the 2010 raising.

A Blackhawks Champion special just started on NBC Sports. 90 minutes long

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 09:35 AM) De Aza works out to be an average Major Leaguer. Look at his numbers -- this year is no different. An average Major Leaguer at arbitration price on a team with 100 losses is nothing to shake a stick at. You guys are crazy. Judging by the rest of the Sox roster, finding average Major Leaguers is a lot harder than it seems.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 09:20 AM) Are you f***ing serious Granted I have only see bits & pieces of Bills games this year, but yes I am f***ing serious. Manuel will not be the Bills starting QB 5 years from now.
-
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 08:52 AM) I hope this is a joke. If not, then this argument is terrible - all indications were that Philadelphia was set to pick him with their 2nd round pick, and the Jets, Jaguars, and Browns also had interest in him too. If they don't take EJ with the 1st, then they have to pass on Alonso, and then they have to pass on Woods, and suddenly they end up with none of the guys they wanted. Wasting a 1st round pick on a non-franchise QB is never a good move.

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 09:05 AM) It is not the NBA. Tanking is unlikely to magically net you a franchise-saving player The Nationals got back-to-back once in a lifetime #1 draft picks and they still can't make the playoffs.
-
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 08:28 AM) It's early, but the Bills look like they had themselves a hell of a draft. EJ Manuel Robert Woods Kiko Alonso Alonso already has 4 picks. Imagine how good it could have been if they waited until the 2nd round to pick Manuel.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 01:11 AM) Oh yeah, and in that final scene where Walt is around all the cooking supplies, I thought we were going to see him die with a meth pipe in his mouth. I thought maybe since he thought he was going to die anyway, he would go ahead and try his creation that got everyone killed. And then we could have tied that part in to the "he takes over the traits of those he kills" theory, because before he killed Uncle Jack, Uncle Jack grabs his cigarette and takes one last drag. I wanted to see Walt smoke some meth, and then close his eyes as the camera floats away, not knowing if he closed his eyes because he is feeling the euphoria, or because he is dead at that moment. But obviously that didn't happen, and maybe it's because that would have been a little TOO out of character for him. I really can't imagine a worse ending than this one.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 09:47 PM) Out of the top 4 teams in point differential currently. 1. Denver 2. Seattle 3. Kansas City 4. Indianapolis Teams 2-4 have played Jacksonville. Coincidence? I think not! And the Broncos play Jacksonville in two weeks.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 09:33 PM) Wow. I'd really like some discussion on this, though. Royals fans think they are back and I kind of disagree. If they think they are back, refer them to my earlier post. Ronald Reagen. Even the Pirates have made the playoffs.
-
The last time the Royals made the playoffs, Ronald Reagan was President.

Jesse wins. That was outstanding. A +

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 06:42 PM) Has there been a betting line in excess of 25 or 30 pts in the past 30 years, or longer? The 07 Patriots had spreads around 21-24 points, but I can't remember any other games.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 11:28 AM) no way. Glennon is still going to complete some passes and someone has to catch them. Should have started Patrick Peterson -
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 06:08 PM) Broncos will shatter points record and positive points differential this season, from the looks of it. Jags may shatter negative points differential as well. They play in two weeks. Mind. Blown.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 06:03 PM) A play-in game to decide who plays in the, um, play-in game? This second wild card is the dumbest s*** ever. Just be happy that the Indians didn't lose a game this weekend. Then there would have been two two play-in games to decide who plays in the play-in game.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 05:38 PM) Am I seeing right that there is a Rays Rangers play-in? Correct. Monday night 8:07 ET in Texas. Price vs. TBD. Winner plays in Cleveland on Wednesday.
-
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 05:22 PM) That could have happened in innings 3 through 9. I found the decision very odd. Pop out in only one at bat, an out in the field next inning and then pulled. Unless he was hurt or something, it wast just weird. Actually, I just saw this on Twitter, so it makes more sense. Scott Merkin @scottmerkin 1h Konerko aggravated his back last night, which is another reason why he departed early today.
-
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) Because something is better than nothing? May as well try to trade him for something. I'm sure someone will think he is competent. Getting an A-ball player is basically nothing. With two years of team control left, he still is competent enough to have value. A player like him is perfect for a rebuilding team. He can hit and was much better defensively in 2012, so he's not a lost cause.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 04:52 PM) Peyton Manning is just too good. I want to see the Broncos play at Seattle. That would be fun.
-
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) Get as much as you can for De Aza, but I won't lose sleep over getting an A-ball player in return. I am so sick of De Aza, just dump him for whatever. Why even waste your time trading him? Just don't tender him and save yourself the effort if he is that worthless.
-
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 04:34 PM) Trading for Brandon Jacobs It should help solve the Sox goal line issues.

Let the winter of ridiculous trade proposals begin.
