  1. 8.3 per- that's what I expected. I'm not sure he could pass up $100 million over 12 years, though. If I'm DT, I offer him a 7-59.5 which is 8.5 a year and hope for the best. If Boston gets Hossa, they go from being an 8 seed to a 4 or 5 in the East.
  2. QUOTE (JFields27 @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 01:11 PM) Along with TSN and HockeyBuzz, I have been looking at this blog http://worldsportsnet.blogspot.com/ G Conklin signed with the Wings Habs resign RFA Andre Kostitsyn Thanks. Was just about to post that Conklin to the Wangs. Also, that Kostitsyn is for 3.25 per. Fedoruk signs for 3 years for PHO.
  3. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 01:53 PM) Actually, I'd be dangling Mac & Uribe at a team like Tampa-who may be deadline buyers for the first time Why would a team like TB who has a lights out bullpen go after a bum like MacDougal? I can see them going after Brian Fuentes...
  4. QUOTE (JFields27 @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 01:05 PM) -it is confirm that Marian Hossa have 7 offers on the table. LA Kings, Boston, Montreal, Chicago, Edmonton, Vancouver and NY Islanders. -Canucks offered Sundin that 2 year 20 mil offer -Vrbata, former blackhawk, signs 3 year deal with the Lightning. There team is getting nuts Source?? Raycroft signs 1 year deal with Avs per TSN
  5. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 01:26 PM) Haha, didn't look above you? See how yours says "and may be first to sign" or something of that nature? Well, I was trying to figure out who that was, either Hossa or Campbell, so I had it in this box forever. from TFP Also, Vancouver has offered Sundin 2 years, $20 million
  6. WSH signs Mike Green for 5.25 per for 4 years. Pens get Pascal DuPois for 1.4 per for 3 years. Leafs sign CuJo for a year. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 11:30 AM) I just want to point out that the Rangers played much better hockey with Avery than without him. ^^^^^^^^
  7. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 10:47 AM) BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD move. Avery is an asshole, and a locker-room cancer. Such a cancer that the Rangers made the playoffs with him.
  8. 630 CHED, Edmonton sports station, reports the Oilers have offered Hossa 9 per. Nothing given out on how many years and all that other good stuff.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 11:12 PM) This is incorrect. If we sweep and DET sweeps (which is what you have in this scenario) then the standings will go: CWS -- MIN 4.5 DET 5.0 KC ? CLE 12.5 I meant to say I hope Detroit wins tomorrow and loses Wednesday. Apologies...
  10. The Cubs will win 3/4 this series, with the only loss coming Thursday vs Lincecum.
  11. QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 09:19 PM) Tigers win 5-4.........not sure if I'm happy about that even though we increase our lead over MIN. How can you not be happy? Detroit remains 5 back but we gain another game on Minnesota. If Detroit can win tomorrow, that'd be huge, but we'd have to win- we'd be 2.5 up on Minnesota and then 6 up on Detroit. Then, hopefully we can complete the sweep Wednesday and Detroit can win again- we'd be 3.5 up on Minnesota and 6 up on Detroit.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 11:51 PM) Free Agency has begun. Remember Bulls fans or basketball fans in general, check out www.talkbulls.com for all the latest news. We've had some good discussion on all of the Bulls trade rumors (ie, all the rumors involving Hinrich) was all as some solid discussions relating to the implications Barons Davis, Corey Maggette, and Elton Brand's UFA status (now that they've opted out) will have on Gordon/Deng's contracts. I expect either a quiet offseason or a huge move- nothin' in between. I think we'll see either Gordon and Deng get re-signed, or they both will and then Gordon along with Hinrich and TT being sent to LAC for Brand.
  13. Agree. I'd rather have Hossa and Commodore/Streit/Redden/Orpik then Campbell and Huselius/Satan/Demitra.
  14. SWISH DYE THOME ANDERSON OC FLOYD
  15. TB on a roll... However good or not-so-good this guy is, atleast the new management is now going after team need in D.
  16. Let's beat these a**holes and get the first one because the next 2 vs Lee and Sabathia will be tough.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 01:38 PM) Anybody got the final W/L count for interleague play? PM daa, that's his specialty. Cubs no longer the best team in baseball.
  18. Damn, I forgot Brooks Orpik is a FA. He'd probably cost around 4-4.5 a year- I wouldn't mind him at all.
  19. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 01:12 PM) Out of those who remain I would rather have Hossa and Redden. I think Redden is still better defensively than Campbell...even though I would have no problem with getting Hossa and Campbell. Rumors back during the year said Redden tore apart that Sens locker room with excessive cocaine use. I definitley don't want that. Now, if he takes a test showing no cocaine, then he can be ours- that would be fine, too. Streit would just be cheaper with the same defensive mind-set as Redden plus more offense.
  20. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 11:54 AM) Ek on his Twitter page said someone is going to offer Hossa $9 mil. Of course its EK so TIFWIW. That's a boat load of cash, if it's true. I wouldn't mind this offseason: Streit 4-18 Huselius 5-26 But then again, DT, I believe, is determined to bring in a big name UFA at whatever the cost. I think he wants Hossa and/or Campbell, so an offseason like this: Campbell 6-45 Huselius 5-26 or this: Hossa 6-50 Streit 4-18 is not out of the question.
  21. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 10:30 AM) Should we expect some deals in the middle of the night tonight? I'm going to be up until 2 following signings and rumors on tsn.ca. I really hope we offer Campbell and Hossa 6-45 and 6-50, respectively, right away. This way, if both reject, that would give us more time to look at guys like Redden, Huslieus (sp?), etc.
