  1. Crede, AJP, Floyd/Danks, and maybe Q should all be in, but you know Varitek will win and I doubt Francona picks AJP for the back-up. It might be take another final man vote in to get AJ or Crede in.
  2. Win at least 1 in each series and I'll be fine with it.
  3. Like somebody said, I'm not too high on golf but this was great. Tiger is just incredible.
  4. Since he'll be a RFA, it'll probably cost something to get him, so it won't be just letting him walk.
  5. I usually don't watch golf, but after watching today, I'm definitley going to watch it tomorrow, and probably most of the tournaments ever until Tiger is done. What a fun guy to watch play a pro sport.
  6. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 10:30 PM) You need to stop betting. Then prove me wrong. Because they will probably have to pay Fleury $5 a year, they're already paying Crosby close to $8 a year, Hossa will be a little more then $7 a year, and they're already paying Gonchar about $5 a year. Also, Sykora is an UFA next offseason so they might have to pay him about $4-$5 a year.
  7. Like Van Gundy was saying all game, LA is out of their minds if they think they can play D like they did today in Boston. If they do that, the Celtics will win by 30 in game 6.
  8. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 09:08 PM) How does Pitt plan to pay Hossa, Crosby, Malkin and Gonchar all that much and still plan to field a decent rest of the team? Well, they offered arb. to Fleury. My bet- they're just going to let Malkin walk. He's a RFA at the time, but I don't think that'll matter. I think a team dying for a star, like LA, will pay him $8 a year.
  9. QUOTE (Felix @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 08:06 PM) Tiger played "terrible" today, but that was a hell of a putt on 18 to take this thing to a playoff.
  10. Can we seriously trade Thome for baseballs right now? I hate him.
  11. QUOTE (SouthSidePride05 @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 05:22 PM) Talked with one of my friends, who's a season ticket rep, over the weekend, and he said the season ticket plans, like the Ozzie Plans and Split Plans are selling like hot-cakes.. but he added that 9 of 10 families purchasing these plans are saying they're Cubs fans. I asked why in the world are Flubby fans buying these up, and he said it's probably so they can fill up US Cellular Field for the Crosstown Classic. It kind of threw me for a loop.. I hope it's not like home field advantage for the Cubbies.. It won't matter- with the way we're playing, they'll win 5/6 or 6/6.
  12. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 02:56 PM) Other than Thome and Uribe, I think our hitters are attacking Cook the right way. We can win this game. Maybe I'm watching the wrong game, but AJ just had 2 90 mph pitches right there and fouled them off.
  13. And another one right there, and fouled it in play for the 3rd out. YES!!
  14. He had one right there, and fouled it back. Unreal.
  15. I don't know if it's been discussed, but Hawk said Konerko hurt his oblique. I don't know if you guys knew that, or if you want more specific information. YEAHH URIBE!!!!!1
  16. Now we definitley are a threat with Uribe coming up to the plate!!!!!!!!
  17. Can we just use this thread for today's loss, too?
  18. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) Here's that clutch 2 out, 0 on hit to set up the 3rd out from the next hitter. Here somes the ol' 5-3 ground out.
  19. Dear Jim Thome Figure out a way to not ground out to 2nd every time, or just eat s*** and die. Love, SoxTalk
  20. All I can say is- wow. If Hossa is worth 7.something million a year, hopefully Campbell doesn't think he's worth 8.something million a year. I hope we offer Campbell something like 6 years, $38 million. If that isn't enough, try 6 years, $43 million.
  21. If we lose 2/3 against these boners, we're in trouble.
  22. QUOTE (quickman @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 09:50 PM) well nobody will take thome's salary, and bonds maybe in jail soon. Furthermore, it seems baseball has made a stand not to bring Bonds back into the fold. i think they want him to quietly go away. His trial is set for March of next year.
