  1. Maybe we can make it 18 innings of only 2 runs.
  2. Can they make the team hit more consistently?
  3. I agree. Give him 2-3 days off, maybe put Ozuna in LF or Anderson in LF.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 10:28 PM) What I wish for has no impact on what happens. I can't wait for the Sox to have a player get hurt, and then have someone blame me for it. Also, I forget what station it was on today, but a radio report said the Cubs clubhouse was "excited" to see that Pujols was injured. I'd be too if he hit 400 foot HR after 400 foot HR against my team.
  5. Let's win this one so we can get a head start on the skull-bashing we're going to put on COL and PIT.
  6. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 10:11 PM) I wouldn't care so long as the wins are on the board. People said the Sox got lucky and they made excuses for 2005, but the banner in LF is all that matters to me. You know what's worse? When the Cubs won the last game in both series's, and then the Scrubs fans say the Cubs were better since they won the last game between the 2. It would be just as dumb if the Sox won 6/6 from the Cubs this year, and then the Cubs went on to win it all, and a Sox fan saying we were better.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 10:51 PM) On PTI today, Kornheiser and Wilbon spend 5 minutes with Steve Stone talking about the White Sox... I mean, the first 3:30. The remaining 1:30 of the White Sox segment was Wilbon asking Stone about the Cubs' chance to make the World Series. I really like Wilbon. He knows his stuff, but it's hilarious when Kornheiser rags him about the Cubs ineptitude to win a WS.
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 09:54 PM) Maybe so, but it now gives Cubs fans an excuse to give when the Sox beat them in the two serieses. I'm confused how, I really am- the yahoo.com and whitesox.com are reporting Zambrano will pitch in both series's, but I still don't get how. He might have to pitch on 3 or 4 days rest to go in the 2nd series. Oh well. I'm saying Cubs win 4/6 or they split at 3/3.
  9. I've been to Safeco, Tropicana, Angel, Comerica, Metrodome, PNC, Wrigley, Miller, Oakland, Kauffman, and then Qualocomm, and no food has been better than The Cell. The food at PNC is cheap- I think a pretzel with a cheese cup was an even $2, and the pretzels at Kauffman are delicious- about $5 including a cheese cup but that's because they are about the size of 2 grown man hands put together.
  10. I can't find the link, but I remember awhile back that Donaghy admitted to fixing a win for the Knicks. Well, damn him, because that could have been the difference between getting Oden or Durant. Instead, we got Noah.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 09:38 PM) Article on yahoo that Zambrano will pitch the Sunday game at Wrigley and Friday at the Cell. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/schedule/sorta...c&year=2008 Start in the box without a pitcher. Zambrano is #2. Count up from 1-2-3-4-5, and you'll see that Zambrano will pitch on Thursday, and we'll see their 4, 5, and 1.
  12. QUOTE (hawksox13 @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 09:31 PM) Well, Soriano was hit by a pitch tonight and it has been confirmed that it's fractured. So he's out at least six weeks. That may change some Sox vs. Cubs predictions. That's too bad. It'll just give Cubs fans an excuse when the Sox take four out of the six games. And that I'm happy about.
  13. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 04:16 PM) Redden from what I have read has lost a step or two from his glory days a few years ago. Granted, I would love to see him with my own eyes before casting serious judgment, but I just don't have the time to catch a ton of Sens games. Same here. Besides that, I've heard there were huge cocaine issues in the Ottawa locker room, but I'm not sure Redden was involved. Give me Liles and Malone/Rolston and I'm satisfied. Go after Ryan Miller next offseason, and then extend Kane, Toews, and Kane.
  14. Terrible. I really hope we can salvage it with a win tomorrow.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) We'll see Zambrano in both series. I also don't look forward to seeing our hitters chase every offspeed pitch that Dempster throws. Not if you use the sortable schedules.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2008 -> 05:34 PM) Are you calling Lynch an absolute monster in terms of being a solid football player...or in terms of being "An absolute monster" of a person? Both.
  17. QUOTE (bullpenHeat @ Jun 11, 2008 -> 12:04 PM) Hey thats my website! Yeah, I did that shirt. Anyone want one? hit me up. I got a few left.
  18. This may not be popular, but what about Jay Gibbons? I know he used 'roids, but he is a left handed bat, or even Nook Logan, who I'm sure can play anywhere, and is a speedy, left-handed bat.
  19. Red Wings give Babcock a 3 year extension, per espn.com
  20. Before I had heard about this movie, I always wondered who was really in all this and who really wasn't, and while this book/movie wasn't 100% right (I'm sure), it was kind of cool watching it. RIP
  21. Oh well, the Celtics just have to win 1 game in LA and they'll be in great shape.
  22. espn.com video games page reporting Dion Phaneuf will be the cover boy for NHL 2009.
