QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) That throw from Masset was horrible. I've seen Paulie with some very nice scoops of s***ty throws by Joe this season. Paulie isn't that bad defensively. Offensively he deserves an F for his performance so far this season. A big fat F. Somehow we are still up by a few games in this bad division. You can't win 'em all, we'd won 9 in a row at home, but it's the WAY we lost that sucks. I'd not been as saddened had we lost 13-11. It's maddening to see our hitters when things are going south. I think he's talking about the ground-ball that he tried to grab off to the side of himself and not get in front of it. -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) It must have been horrible. Did anybody boo? I thought boos were in order after OC's double play ball and some of our horrible at bats in the ninth. There were a few. When Dye took the final strike, there was a lot of murmur/huffing and puffing going on.

His putt on the 13th was ridiculous- one of his best ever.
-
I'm going to get bashed for this- Thome blows. He is just God awful, and we should find a way to get rid of him. Trade him for a minor leaguer, or somethin'. I say this while reading that Bonds' agent (this is where the bashing part begins) can't even get Barry signed for the MINIMUM. I can not believe that, and if that's the truth, dump Thome and get Bonds for only a year. He can do exactly what Thome does except hit for a better average with more HR.

Was there, and it was one of the most boring, most pathetic performances the offense has put out in a game I've been all. Where's the puke emoticon? Tribe lose, Twins win.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 10:32 PM) looks like i jinxed LAA and CLE as they both gave up the lead....oh well, id rather have CLe lose anyways The Indians won last night 9-5.

I'll be going as well. Make it 10 in a row at home! -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 09:58 PM) This never happened. Pinch-run is what I meant.
-
Cubs offense only averaging about 3.7 runs a game in their last 9 games. Just wait until our pitching gets hold of 'em.
-
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 05:59 PM) Maybe he had a USCF flashback and immediately became Day-To-Day. But I heard some boos when he came in to pinch-hit.

I wonder if Ozzie will give Lexi another day off, especially with the big hit Uribe got tonight... -
Uribe OC keeps my BTS alive with a solo HR, too. Hopefully we whoop their @$$ tomorrow- De La Rosa is going for them and he has a 8.13 ERA. I'll be there, I hope for 4 runs early just so I can sit back and relax. BTW, I heard some boos when Pods came in to pinch run.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 05:49 PM) Really? Never would of guessed. Somebody, I forget who, looked it up and posted it in one of the KC gamethreads. It was like 530 vs lefties and 340 vs righties or somethin'. -
Marcus Vick likes driving
whitesoxbrian replied to The Critic's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Being a dope must run in the family. His brother is a dog killer, Marcus is a reckless driver, and Aaron Brooks sucks at football. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) I don't mind seeing Thome sit vs. a lefty. His SLG is about 200 points higher vs lefties. -
QUOTE (DABearSoX @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 02:17 PM) You know what...I met him down in Tucson and he was pretty much a dick....... I love the Game 2 walk-off but I don't understand this standing O crap...... When Big Frank came back...YES.....he did deserve a standing ovation...but Scotty Pods???? I say just don't boo...I don't know why we would boo but yea I don't think he warrants a standing O And I met him and he was awesome, took a picture with me and everything. Sometimes it depends where and when you catch these guys. Not in the lineup today.

Pods isn't playing. I can be in the crowd the first time he's back at The Cell. -
Q wins Pepsi Clutch Performer of Month Award for May
whitesoxbrian replied to Balta1701's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Voted for him. Way to go, Q! Now get back on track, buddy! -
QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 01:17 PM) The pitching staff says hello. I meant by any one individual player. Without Pods' ability to get on, steal a base, get to 3rd by Iguchi, and score on a fly out was unbelieveable. Man, the Carlos Lee trade looked bad at the time.
-
QUOTE (Balance @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 08:58 AM) No reason to boo Pods. When I finally get to the Cell this Sunday, I'll cheer him. I think a standing ovation might be a bit much, though. He was arguably reason #1 why we won. Standing O is appropriate.

Get a W! -
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 10:18 PM) Sox fans are a weird bunch sometimes. We complain and hate on the players when they are on our team, then give them standing O's when they come back on new teams. But the difference is- only 25 guys have been on a White Sox playoff roster and won a World Series. BTW, when the Pirates come into town, do we give Marte a SO? When the Cubs come to town, do we give Cotts a SO?
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 09:58 PM) Let us assume that he is actually as good as Jordan to begin with - he has 6 NBA Finals MVPs before the comparison is even valid.
-
QUOTE (whitesox32 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 11:11 PM) yeah he gave a little wave to the crowd I think he was in shock as to why anyone would give him a standing O Nice. I hope Pods gives a hat tip to everyone tomorrow. Actually, I'd prefer if he sat out tomorrow so I can be in attendance for the first (and probably only) standing O and first (and probably only) acknowledgment to the crowd. BTW, if Luis Vizcaino comes in tomorrow, do we give him a standing O? (he was activated off the DL on the 8th)
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 09:53 PM) Biggest chokejob in the history of the NBA. People are still comparing Kobe to Jordan???? Surprisingly, yes.
