  1. How about The Burner Turner today, guys? 120 yards and 4 TD's. Wow. I'm on Atlanta's bandwagon- Ryan is getting it done, the WR's have figured it out, Abraham gets to the QB like no other, and Turner is a monster.
  2. Aminu, Rubio, Griffen, Harden (Arizona State), Patterson (Kentucky), Thabeet, James (Texas), Curry, Claver (Spain), and Jennings are probably the top 10 picks.
  3. I'm going to be the biggest Oregon fan this weekend. If Oregon State wins, they'll be in the Rose Bowl, not USC. My predictions: Florida vs Texas- BCS title game Alabama vs Oklahoma- Fiesta Bowl Florida State vs USC- Sugar Bowl Oregon State vs Penn State- Rose Bowl
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 08:07 PM) I got news for you. The Bears have the worse wide-receiving corps in the NFL, so yes, WR is easily one of there biggest needs. The defensive problems are primarily due to a lack of pass-rush and I'd direct that at the ends, thus making the DE position a huge need. After that I think you'd point towards the oline and safety well before I'd point at the LB corps (Briggs/Urlacher are both above average LB's...Briggs might be the best OLB in football right now). No, I meant through the draft. I fully understand we need to improve the WR position, but through the draft is pointless. We need to go out and sign (Housh) a guy or trade (Boldin) for a guy that we know what we'll get from. We don't have 2-4 years for a WR to progress.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:57 PM) With virtually everyone already extended...it seems to me this should be a year for the Bears to spend some cap room to fill one of those spots (the Cinci WR's come to Mind) Housh is an UFA after the year. Boldin might be traded, too. I want no part of Chad. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 05:11 PM) I think Stafford, Harrel, Bradford, Daniel, and McCoy are all legitimate draft prospects. Plus you have the 3rd to 4th round team who’s going to roll the dice on Juice Williams in two years, and the unfortunate soul who’s going to buy into the Tebow’s a pro QB hype. There's some decent talent emerging within the next two years You laugh at Tebow's pro potential, but then you mention Daniel's pro potential as being legit. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:55 PM) I'll take me some Everette Brown, but I think we need O-line in the first round. Brown is a stud, but I'd prefer Michael Johnson (GT, DE) over Brown in the 1st. I'd take Taylor Mays (USC, S), Johnson, or Duke Robinson (Oklahoma, OG) in the 1st. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:31 PM) Forte entered today averaging 3.8 yards a carry. That will go up after beating on the pathetic Rams, but to compare him to TCQ is laughable. It appears he can join Orton in the overrated pantheon at the moment. Forte is not overrated. He's averaging 4 ypc now and he's leading all rookies in total yards. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:45 PM) What in the world just happened in Arizona? They played a better team? QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:47 PM) OG, LB, S, OT, and DE are the biggest needs. Fixed.
  6. Alabama Texas Oklahoma Florida USC Utah Texas Tech Penn State Boise State Ohio State What I expected...
  7. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:21 PM) Wow, we’re going to be in an incredibly tough place this offseason. On one hand, the QB class is going to be incredibly strong for the next two years, on the other we have Orton who remains somewhat of a mystery to all of us. I would be fine with drafting an OL like Oher or even focusing on defense and WR, but still… Oher will be taken in the top 5, not in the 15 range where we will probably be drafting. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:50 PM) I don't understand the Orton love, he has been extremely mediocre for the most part. Has had two good games vs very poor pass defenses and than mediocre to bad. He was also pretty bad against a brutal Rams defense, should of had a couple of picks today. I like Orton as a backup for sure and without a doubt Grossman is done in Chicago, but at the same time besides Bradford not many QB's impress me in the upcoming draft. I think I would want the Bears to go with their top pick on the OL again. Stafford has had a bit of a rough time at Georgia this year but he has an absolute cannon and is playing behind a very poor OL. I think we'll go OG then DE, or vice versa, in the first 2 rounds. QUOTE (rangercal @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 04:54 PM) bulls***. yes he is. ^^^^^^^^
  8. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) no doubt Griffin is number 1 pick. No he's not. Not if a team that is in need of a PG or SG gets the #1 overall. However, he's a top 4 pick for sure.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 09:57 PM) Elvis, Tupac and Brian Urlacher are all living on an island somewhere. So is Mark Anderson, I think?
  10. Oklahoma is just smashing TT right now. 42-7 before half. Wow. ND is such a joke. I wonder if Weis will be canned? I can't believe The Citadel actually scored 19 points on Florida at The Swamp.
  11. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Nov 21, 2008 -> 05:39 PM) That's not just highway robbery; that is Kenny Williams driving into the worst neighborhood in town, finding a thug on the side of the road, stopping, getting out, offering the keys, presenting him with the title to the car, then sucking off the guy in the back seat and waving good-bye to him as he pulls off. I'd do Heilman, Murphy, and Pelfrey for Vazquez and Jenks, but not for Dye, Jenks, and Vazquez. NO NO NO
  12. Mets fans want Quentin? Give me Wright, Pelfrey, and Martinez.
  13. I agree with who said that Pelfrey won't be in the deal. I just can't see the Mets trading a 24 year old SP who posted a 3.8 ERA last year. Plus, he's a Boras client. If that happens, we'd have to get Heilmann, Murphy, and someone else, but the Mets would be robbing us then.
  14. Okay if we can only give up Jenks and Vazquez for Martinez and Pelfrey, I would do that in a heartbeat. Martinez is a f***ing stud and Pelfrey has a bright future. I'd maybe want another piece, but why would the Mets do this? But...it's probably both guys for either Martinez or Pelfrey. I'm not sure- I still may consider that.
  15. In my eyes- He either stays with the team or hits the minors, if Fields sucks which he will, then he'll be our 3B. Sweet!
  16. Kris Versteeg is a monster. Him, Doughty, and Ballard (sp?) have been the 3 best rookies so far. Awesome 1-0-1 start to the road trip. Let's get 1 in Toronto on Saturday, eh?
  17. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 10:24 PM) Destroy? Without a post presence Duke will destroy nothing but 2nd rate teams. So the final score showed destruction, but SIU hung with them for the most part.
  18. Both teams are playing pretty well defensively, but both have had open shots but have been unable to put the ball in the hoop. Oh well, should be an interesting 2nd half.
  19. Hughes sucks. Gordon shoots too much and hates defense apparently. Tyrus is a waste of athleticism. Noah blows. Deng is overpaid big time. Nocioni stinks. Gooden is medicore. Yet, Rose doesn't touch the ball and all these nimrods do.
  20. No way we try to get Halladay. It's probably take Danks or Floyd then a couple other guys, and he's a FA after the 2009 year.
  21. Why did someone say we lost out on Viciedo?
  22. I can't believe PacMan just got reinstated. What a crock. I love Goodell but this is terrible. per espn
