QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Nov 18, 2008 -> 07:00 AM) So far I am very much unimpressed with Huet...... but its tough to get into a flow when you don't start more than 2 games in a row though. He gives up wayyyyyy too many rebounds. I think the Hawks will win 3-4 of 6 on this trip. -

That was awful coaching, I agree with you wite. Jauron has had only 2 above .500 years in 9 years of coaching, how the f*** does he still have a job anywhere? -

QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 17, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) Can we put the Bills talk to rest yet or do you still think they have a chance? Just because they don't have a chance doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about them. It's the MNF game. Anyways, after I said that, they gave it to Lynch and Jackson and now their only down 13-10 at half. -

QUOTE (SnB @ Nov 16, 2008 -> 10:32 PM) fun game to be at, that sharks power play just dominated. Same here. It was fun to be at it's just there were too many lazy penalties. Byfuglien goes back to his old self today. Duncs had his worst game today, too. -

With a minute left in OT, Cincy has the ball at Philly's 29. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2008 -> 02:35 PM) Like I said a long time ago, one of the worse WR's corps I've ever seen. We had Lloyd with two random games but the WR's have been downright abysmal (look at the drops and lack of ability to create seperation or make really good catches). We need to go out and sign TJ Housh this offseason or trade for Boldin. QUOTE (rangercal @ Nov 16, 2008 -> 02:30 PM) I guess you weren't around for wanstedt or Jauron. Lovie will still be coach. I would bet my house on it. I was around, but I guess you are kind of right. He's been one of our better coaches. He needs to can Babich. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 16, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) Ayanbadejo leaving probably isn't a coincidence either. We didn't want to give him $2 million a year. Cheap a**, Angelo. -

I heard somewhere that Babich coached Lovie's son on some level which is why Lovie's keeping him around. -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 16, 2008 -> 02:21 PM) What the hell is lovie thinking? You call a pass! A pass???? Run the clock out! Agree 130%. -
I like what I've read about this Link kid. Hopefully he can show he can be a good major league pitcher, this way maybe we can deal Jenks like KW wants to do, seemingly. I don't like this stuff on Beckham. I hope it's nothing.

USC is playing like horses***. Last week, they only beat Cal @ USC by 14, and right now, they're down a TD against Stanford @ Stanford at the end of the 1st with only 5 total yards and no first downs. Right now, this team doesn't deserve a BCS game. QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 15, 2008 -> 05:48 PM) The UNC/Maryland game was good! Where I live, I wasn't getting that game. -

Bolland has a great game, then commits a bad penalty in OT and the Blues get a goal. Suniva b**ch. It doesn't get much easier on Sunday vs San Jose, either. -

For about 12 years, USC couldn't beat Notre Dame. If I truly was a bandwagon fan, I could have just stopped cheering for the Trojans then. They didn't win a national title in the 1980's (but they did win Rose Bowls) so that couldn't have been a reason I just loved them. As a young kid, it was my first college game ever. I stuck with them. Now since they're good, it seems like I'm a bandwagon fan, but they weren't nearly as dominant in the 80's as they currently are. -

QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 09:57 PM) Unless you went to Duke or maybe live in NC, cant call them your Dukies lol. Maybe if your parents went there, otherwise definite bandwagon fan. So since I've liked them since I was 8, I'm a bangwagon fan? Okay dude. -

What a game- definitley worth the hype. Right now, the Jets look damn good. Despite Brady being out, this is still a good New England team. All that money the Jets spent is paying off big time now. The TNF game next week looks one-sided on paper- Bengals @ Steelers. -

There's really no reason I like Duke. I guess I've just always liked them? As for USC- when I was 9, I went to a USC game in LA when I was there on vacation with my family, and fell in love with everything there- the stadium, atmosphere, the FIGHT ON song, and the sea of red. Then again, nobody ever believes me and continues to call me a bandwagoner, so if you do that, no hard feelings. -

QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 12:14 PM) I hope SIU dismantles Duke. As much as I poke fun at my SIU boys, I really respect the program. I think they have realized that by now. Can we get some major conference basketball talk in here. Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 07:42 PM) Betimet probably takes Uribe's place. He's built like him. The minor league pitchers are throw ins who at one time were considered to have a shot. The key to the deal is the $24 million they now don't have to pay Swisher over the next 3 years. This way of trading is the best way to get some value for a guy who has regressed and has nowhere to play on the current White Sox team. They take the savings and bring in other players, either taking money on with a trade or signing FA's. What if they signed Juan Cruz and Henry Blanco with Swisher's money? You still would have some cash left and Blanco, Cruz, Betimet and a couple of minor league pitchers would be a pretty good haul for a guy who hit .219 and couldn't get AB's in front of DeWayne Wise during the stretch. I'd love to sign Blanco and Cruz. Hall was pretty bad and Blanco is one of the better back-up C's in the game. Cruz is a very good arm out of the bullpen- if we sign him, let's just pray he stays healthy.

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 06:06 PM) McClouth would be a perfect fit for the Sox. What would you be willing to give the Buccos in return for Nate?
-
I don't get why we even want Tavares. The guy is terrible. Then again, there aren't very many options. What would KC want for DeJesus? What would PIT want for McClouth? (however, I don't think KC will be trading one of their fan favorites period, yet alone to a team inside the division)
