  1. Maybe Sabathia? I hope not, but that would be a surprise if you ask me.
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 23, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) They aren't going to have as much money as you think. There will be money to play with, but the last thing the Hawks should do is hand out another big contract. Toews-Kane-Keith will all be up for a new deal after next, so big money will have to be set aside. I'm confident in saying Tallon won't have any ties to the organization when those decisions have to be made, so hopefully it's not a huge problem. Toews and Kane can't be given huge contracts until March-April of 2011.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 23, 2008 -> 10:29 AM) The Hawks don't have the money under the cap anyway. After the year they will when Havlat and either Khabibulin walks or Huet is traded.
  4. Aren't the Bills (5-1) 2 games in front of New England (4-2) for 1st place?
  5. I like: WV over Auburn Ohio State over Penn State Illinois over Wisconsin BC over UNC LSU over Georgia Kansas over Texas Tech
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 20, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) No. He won't take anything less than 5-6 years. Sox don't give pitchers 3 or more year contracts. He's too expensive and he wants to stay in the NL. Buehrle got one?
  7. I'm confused how we'd get Lincecum while keeping Danks and Floyd. IMO, we'd have to give up 1 of the 2.
  8. I wish: Buehrle Lowe Danks Floyd Contreras But, Lowe is a Boras client. So...I could see something like this: Buehrle Floyd Danks Conteras Wolf
  9. I hope not. And, everyone already covered it- fat guy and got worked this season in Milwaukee.
  10. I don't mean to say I told you so about Buffalo, but...I told you so.
  11. That was such a fun game to be at. Like Brian said, I have no voice, either. Orton was awesome today- crisp passes right on target. Forte had a medicore game but that was expected against the best run D in football. Good to see after November 2 we'll be 5-3.
  12. Good win tonight- I was there. That's 6 points in 2 games for Kane. Keep it up Wednesday vs Edmonton, boys. I'll be at the UC again.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 18, 2008 -> 09:57 PM) Ray fans crying? WTF? There's no crying, there's no crying in baseball. Grinder Rule #162- There's no crying in baseball- unless champagne burns your eyes.
  14. This was a tough one to swallow. Being up 3-1 in the 3rd and losing in a shootout hurts. I liked what I saw from Kane and Campbell, but Toews hasn't done anything this year. It's not going to get any easier tomorrow.
  15. I don't know what I'm more surprised at- 1. that Texas is so good. 2. that Missouri is playing so bad lately.
  16. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Oct 17, 2008 -> 09:21 PM) TTID? What?
  17. QUOTE (SEALgep @ Oct 17, 2008 -> 07:22 PM) Anyone see us making a run on Lowe? I can see KW picking up another starter this offseason. I thought the same thing until I realized his agent is Boras. Then all those hopes and dreams went down the poop-shoot.
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 17, 2008 -> 06:53 PM) Tommie Harris shouldn't even see the field. He's f***ing terrible and was over-rated all of last year. If he's heatlhy fine, but he clearly isn't and I question whether he ever will be again. Go with Harrison/Dvoraceck. He had 13 sacks from 2006-2007, which is very good for a DT. I highly doubt that's overrated. However, I agree he's been awful this year and I'd rather only see him in there to give Idonije, Harrison, and Dvoracek (who's been arguably our best DL this year) breaks.
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Oct 17, 2008 -> 07:53 PM) A 60,000 person crowd, all wearing solid blaze orange hunting jackets could be the coolest (color)-out ever. That would be pretty bad. I think if everyone at a Bears game wore white would be sweet. It's virtually impossible due to weather, though. You see tons of people at games wearing whatever makes them warm (yellow, red, etc.), but it'd be cool to see them play 1 home game in a dome to see all white, blue, and orange, similar to how everyone in Indy can wear their jerseys.
  20. I just named a few great and a few good. I didn't mention every single one. Then again, I probably should have put Moss on there. Fitzgerald and Boldin skipped my mind. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 16, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Are you kidding me. Williams is a borderline elite receiver. He has amazing physical abilities and has put up great numbers when healthy in the NFL. And he's done it while on the freaking Lions. If he's not even good than I don't even want to know your definition of good. He'd be the best WR the Bears ever had (EVER). Amazing physical abilities? So does every other WR in football- they're in the NFL. And what does that mean? That makes him elite that he'd be the best WR the Bears ever had? So would Lavarneus Coles so I guess that makes him elite, right?
  21. IMO, Boston has just as good of a shot to win this now. I know Beckett hasn't been himself but they're 8-1 since 2004 in elimination games and with one of the 5 best postseason pitchers ever going for you in game 6, you have to feel good.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 16, 2008 -> 09:52 PM) I'm hoping we get to see the SIU-Duke matchup this year at MSG. If that happens, I will definitely be making a road trip to NYC. I doubt that happens as SIU would more then likely have to get past UCLA.
