The fact that Hahn is trying hard to get an impending FA kind of makes me think they don't think he would sign here without playing here. Makes me a little concerned the org isn't perceived well by players.

Someone asked him about the clubhouse's reaction to the Sale jersey cutting. "I absolutely loved my time in Chicago. One of the best organizations I've played with. I just cant imagine we make an Abreu or Garcia trade. I think all the teams that would be interested on waiting to see what Hosmer/Santana/Martinez do.

I remember watching the 60 minutes story on him and he mentioned his dream is to face Clayton Kershaw on the mound and at the plate. I wouldn't be surprised if his preference is an NL team.

I think it's a nice deal for both sides. Detroit had an awful farm system and the guy they had to get a good return for is Verlander IMO. The Tigers are better for the future but I don't feel they will be ready to compete for anything until well into the 2020s.
