GT: White Sox (40-44) vs. Scrubs (46-39) [3:05CT / 4:05ET]
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 05:55 PM) Obligatory would Micah Johnson make those plays? Not the first one yesterday. The thing about Micah is that he's not that great of a hitter. If he were an above average hitter, his defensive miscues would be excusable. Sanchez is a godawful hitter though. I don't know if Sanchez is the second worst player in baseball, but he's definitely not a net positive at this point.

GT: White Sox (40-44) vs. Scrubs (46-39) [3:05CT / 4:05ET]
If the Cubs are the 5th best team in the NL, then the Sox would definitely be in contention in the NL.

Chris Coughlan has made the last two outs of the last two games. Sanchez was on the other end both times.

All New Soccer Thread ~ All Levels ~ All Leagues
I couldn't watch again, but I saw we should have had an extra goal. Also, I heard Jozy sucked. Play Johansson and Zardes up top against Panama. The game means nothing, better experiment and let the younger guys have a go at it.

Technology catch-all thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 09:49 PM) You got Fiber or something? AT&T Gigapower I can thank Google for it though. AT&T would have never rolled it out if it wasn't for Google Fiber threatening them in Austin.

Samardzija had incredible stuff today.

GT: White Sox (38-44) vs. Blue Jays (44-43) [1:10CT/2:10ET]
The movement on that first pitch to Bautista...97 MPH too.

GT: White Sox (38-44) vs. Blue Jays (44-43) [1:10CT/2:10ET]
Why is Jose always swinging at those awful sliders low and away? He didn't do it as much last year. In fact, he crushed sliders last year according to pitch f/x. This year, he's got a negative pitch value on them.

Cardinals interested in LaRoche?
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 12:49 PM) I'd be shocked if the Cardinals take LaRoche. He's not hitting nearly well enough for them to be willing to pay him $12m next year when Matt Adams is back. History says LaRoche is a good finisher and a mediocre to poor starter. It'd be a smart get for them IMO.

Because aaron brooks. Can't wait for the "WELL THIS IS SMART BECAUSE THEY DRAFTED JIMMY BUTLER" comments. No wonder we couldn't sign Lin...

White People - A Documentary
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 12:18 PM) But the documentary blames those white kids. WTF did they do but win the birth lottery? Nothing. It's a movie about making white kids feel bad about being white. That's bulls***. lol you got "blame" from watching a one minute trailer? I think you're overreacting here.

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 11:07 AM) I'm not sure what to think of the DeAndre Jordan business. It sounds to me like he probably never wanted to go anywhere else but his agent led him to believe he had no choice. Then he finds out he did have a choice. Fegan is an awful agent, but at the same time, DeAndre acted like a child. Your agent shouldn't sway you so easily that you agree to sign for the wrong team.

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 10:52 AM) I think if the Bulls offered him the same contract, he still goes to Charlotte. More PT, assuming DRose can stay healthy. From what Lin said, Dallas didn't even want him, which makes no sense to me. He would have gotten a lot more PT in Dallas given their current guard situation.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 10:37 AM) To put it into itunes in order to play over AppleTv I'm guessing you downloaded an MKV? I personally use Plex and I just throw whatever format I want on there. MKV, MP4, AVI, it plays everything. Only downside is you need a server for it.

White People - A Documentary
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 10:19 AM) Finally, all those who suffer from white guilt have an outlet! Jesus. Here's the thing: you can, as a white person, appreciate and acknowledge that white people are privileged in a lot of ways and have certainly been MORE privileged than other races throughout history. However, (1) all "white" people are not the same. Some "white" people are not privileged and haven't experienced the same privilege as other whites; (2) whites in 2015, especially teenagers and young adults that this "documentary" is shaming, have nothing to do with the "privilege" and realistically are the LEAST privileged white people there has been in this country. The whole thing is a disgrace, but I'm sure some people will praise it as some amazing achievement in social commentary. edit: oh, and how is this not racist? The non-white guy is targeting white people specifically and chastising them. Can you imagine if he made a "Black People" documentary? I agree on your first point, but just because young white people are not as privileged today as they were 20 years ago doesn't mean they aren't privileged in some way. And you know why there isn't a "Black People" documentary. Just like there isn't a Hispanic People or Asian People documentary. Because they aren't privileged and they're minorities. There would be no point to make a documentary like that.
