White Sox hiring - Data Engineer & Minor League Player Development interns
I'm in software engineering and actually have some experience with what they listed in the requirements. But everything I've read about the industry says they don't pay enough for how much they work you. Personally, I'd probably love to work on this stuff since I'm into analytics, but I'm not sure how much I'll like it when it's my livelihood and I'm forced to work weekends.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
There really is no better feeling in sports than your team winning in the postseason when you didn't expect them to. I'm glad I got to experience it in 05 and it seems like there's always one team doing that every postseason. This Phillies team, last year's Braves, 2019 Nationals, etc.

Are we sure Cueto's success can be attributed to Katz? Seems like he just finally got healthy this year.

Who is going to give Manaea a long term deal after his stuff degraded later in the season?

I can already say that about Rick Hahn before he signs any of them. Remember when we were linked to both through trade? This is just making it easier for Hahn to sign them.

I don't think the Phillies are all that good but they sure are fun.

Maybe he'll cost less to sign next year at this rate lol

Is there a reason why the Phillies didn't go with Syndergaard for this game?

Looks like you can't believe anyone regarding who the Sox are hiring. I guess we'll have to wait until the big name reporters or the Sox themselves announce it.

Yup. I just want someone who has been getting prep'd in a successful organization like Houston. He's obviously qualified with how long he's paid his dues as bench coach. Along with the interviews he's gotten as manager before. Hopefully Dusty hasn't rubbed off on him too much, but I'm sure he's analytics friendly and won't pull the s%*# Tony would. Him being a first time manager also means the FO and analytics department will have more influence on lineup and in-game decisions. No more Leury batting 3rd. I would also be ok with Matt Quataro since he also fits a lot of the stuff I mentioned above.

Rodriguez is legit, but he also has some questionable sources (aka Hector Gomez).

I remember when Mike Rodriguez said we got Frankie Montas. Then it didn't happen lol.

I pay more in gas for cooking than gas for heating in the winter lol. Winters here are pretty nice for the most part. Which is a big reason I don't want to move back to Illinois full time. Maybe when I become wealthy enough I'll buy a summer home in Illinois.

I got lucky and my power never went out since I live close to a fire station and I pay a constant rate for my electricity. But people who were on variable rate plans got fucked. All those smaller electric companies like Griddy went out of business cause their customers couldn't afford to pay the crazy ass prices which in turn meant they couldn't pay the providers.

I work at home, usually stay in during the day and it still sucks.

Texas has nice weather from March-early May. And then October to around December. January and February is usually when we see the odd snow storm or cold front. I do prefer it to having to shovel snow regularly and it being 10-20 degrees out regularly, but the summers here suck. It sucks to go outside in the middle of the day in July and August. It also didn't rain this year for like 2 months and it was constantly 100+ out every day.

Official NBA 22-23
Donovan said LaVine had knee issues when he tried to ramp up activity the week before the opener. Sounds like they're being super cautious. It just sucks that he hasn't played a single game yet with his new max deal and he's already got knee issues. This smells like DRose all over again.

It makes sense since Young played under Bochy in SD.

Texas is actually willing to spend a lot of big money. We're not. We're better than the Rangers but the new manager wouldn't be stuck with a pretty much set roster in Texas.

It is for baseball.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/10/blue-jays-hire-john-schneider-as-manager.html The Jays are the best situation to take over for a manager this off-season. That's one less team the Sox have to compete with for a manager...assuming they actually want to hire someone like Espada.

2022 ALCS- Yankees/Astros
I'm pretty sure Houston is gonna win this series, only to lose in the WS to an NL East team that got hot at the right time cause they've done that twice now in the past 3 years.

He should probably play more with the 2nd unit. The guy just does not get involved.
