  1. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) i don't know if he is or isn't a citizen, but there's no way this guy is going to simply be deported. He's not. His brother was. So he could get deported although I heavily doubt that.
  2. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 08:23 PM) ...Donald Trump needs to STFU.
  3. Suspect 1 is dead. They're still looking for suspect 2.
  4. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 02:15 AM) Between Twitter, Reddit, and listening to the Boston PD Scanner, it really is incredible to take this all in. Technology is great. Damn, this is intense, in a bad way.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 02:58 PM) That explains why he got killed in his last start. No difference between the change and heat. His 2 seamers were also faster than his 4 seamers.
  6. This is a very important start for Sale. If he doesn't have his velocity back up to 92-93, I think we should all be very very concerned.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 02:45 PM) Not a big deal to put PK in front of Dunn, because PK's speed isn't a factor when Dunn hits. You can be as slow as you want when there is a HR, BB, or K. Not when Adam Dunn is hitting a ton of weak grounders on the first few pitches...
  8. So it looks like Dunn has now been dropped down to 5th permanently. Good. Let's get back to .500. And no Bautista again!
  9. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 10:28 PM) Q has nasty stuff! I know this sounds silly, but his form and technique reminds me of a young Johan Santana. He needs a deadly change-up first.
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 08:42 PM) If he was on a small deal, Bulls fans everywhere you give praise to St. Boozer Not really... Unless he was getting paid $4 million a year, there's no real reason to think Boozer is a good value. The only thing I can applaud Boozer for the past two seasons is that he's been healthy. That's about it.
  11. This is our first laugher of the year in which we won. Nice.
  12. Mark DeRosa is real bad.
  13. The good news is that if the Sox get 3 more outs today and win tomorrow, we come home at .500, which I would have never imagined after the first 5 games of the road trip.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 08:34 PM) Only his 2nd game. I thought he had played a few games before this series. NVM.
  15. Wow, Lawrie is hitless on the year? Ouch.
  16. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 10:06 PM) Ranger's basic points were that 1) despite Gavin's performance the game was still winnable and 2) that Gavin is a mid-rotation starter, and like all mid-rotation starters they have some good performances and some bad performances. Ranger is right in what he's saying, however I'm tired of scatterbrained Gavin going out there are taking the night off on the mound and I know I'm not the only one. He's right in this case. You need to look at each game with a level head. There are a decent amount of teams in baseball that would like to have a pitcher like Gavin Floyd at the right price. His inconsistency and his inability to take advantage of his good stuff is infuriating at times, but he is what he is and it's not like you're paying him ace money.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) Floyd EASILY could have given up 5-8 runs... He had runners at 2nd/3rd and one out, and got out of it...and then Santiago bailed him out of a bases loaded, one out situation. Can we please put Santiago in the starting rotation? Axelrod is going to get his ass kicked tomorrow.
  18. The more grounders Keppinger hits, the more screwed we are.
  19. Why can't we hit the f***ing cutoff man?
  20. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 11:42 AM) I know I am supposed to bow before the throne of Rose because he's a Chicago kid, but I have lost a TON of respect for him. I found it so funny that Carmelo Anthony was telling people to leave Rose alone, while his own teammate, Iman Shumpert, was injured on the same day and he's been back since January 17. I have as well. His 'recovery' is starting to become a huge joke. Every time I see player x get hurt, I think to myself, "well, he'll be back before Rose is".
  21. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 04:30 PM) Paulie batting cleanup, Dunn 5th in the lineup. Thanks Robin. I think that's the lineup Robin has vs lefties to begin with... I don't think Dunn's going to hit 5th vs. righties. Hopefully he does.
  22. It's really not that the Sox have lost recently (and lost painfully at that), it's that Chris Sale looked like complete crap today 3 starts into the season that has me worried. But nevertheless, baseball is not a sprint and teams get hot or cold all the time. Time will tell. This team isn't THAT bad.
  23. Is Sale having another dead arm period? Ouch. This is bad.
  24. Well none of what has happened today bodes well for the team...
  25. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 10:46 AM) Greinke grabbed for CQ's balls. That's a total b**** move. lmao
