  1. Samsung Galaxy S5 = MEH.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 10:20 PM) I'm a big fan of the Freak+ I don't think I've ever swung a Miken before. With the new ASA regulations, the new Combat bats are hot as hell, especially last year's Derby Boys. I just swung a Demarini J3 today, almost fresh out the wrapper and it felt amazing. I'm seriously thinking about dropping $250 on it right now.
  3. What bats do you guys swing?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 21, 2014 -> 10:53 AM) Kevin Spacey and his group went around and proposed it to networks, HBO, Showtime, etc, and were declined. Then they went to Netflix and Hulu and Netflix wrote them a blank check for two seasons. He told that story on The Daily Show this week. I imagine it'd be hard for a major network to carry a show that's this dark and air it every week at 8 PM. They get to be a lot more explicit on Netflix and that's probably a good thing.

Netflix has incentive to release episodes every week as opposed to all at once. It keeps viewers interested and it keeps viewers subscribed longer. For all I know, a lot of people probably just get the one month trial and never subscribe afterwards. I do love binge viewing though.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 21, 2014 -> 09:48 AM) The Political undertones are my favorite part. I watched 8 episodes this week already and plan on killing season one tonight and maybe tomorrow. The plot is awesome and I can already see some foreshadowing that will get exciting later on. 8 episodes in season 1? You've seen nothing yet.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 20, 2014 -> 08:15 AM) I just started watching a couple days ago as well. I'm two episodes in but so far am underwhelmed. It's alright but nothing has really grabbed me yet. Maybe I just don't care about political thrillers? I'll probably at least watch through the first season For me, it isn't about the politics. It's about how diablolical the main characters are. Francis Underwood almost makes Walter White look innocent.

I can't believe I didn't watch House of Cards until 3 days ago. It's been on my watchlist for a while and now I can't stop watching.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 15, 2014 -> 03:48 PM) It was the USB, I did hours of dicking aroudn because I didn't want to go to the car to get my other one. ALso fun, because i killed the battery on my PC, I can't use the cyanogenmod mac installer because my phones on 4.4 now. Long day. If you find the htc one sprint img for 4.3 let me know. I think they have some Xposed mods for Sense. I don't even flash ROMs anymore, I just use stock + Xposed. It gets me pretty much everything I want from custom ROMs without having to wipe my data every time I flash a new ROM.

    We have enough outfielders.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 10:19 PM) Luol Deng is such hot garbage. This is like the 2nd time in a couple weeks he's gone 0/9 from the field. That was your "All Star", Bulls fans. Thank Christ the Cavs have terrible leadership. Luol has been highly overrated these past few years. He's a good, not great player. I have no idea why he made the all-star team last year.
  12. Jo with a triple double. Atlanta's coming back though.
  13. Jo with a behind the back assist to Butler. One assist away from a triple double.
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 11, 2014 -> 12:45 AM) Apparently Bulls and Knicks talking about Melo deal. The rumored deal at RealGM was Boozer, Kirk, Butler, 3 1sts, Snell for Melo, Felton, Shumpert. Take out Shumpert/Butler swap and you got a deal. Otherwise, only 2 firsts. Why is Felton in the deal...?
  15. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Feb 5, 2014 -> 08:22 PM) I'm not really a fan of the deal. Last year was heads and shoulders above any of his previous 2 full seasons. He improved by 1 win from his freshman to sophomore year, and then he improved by 3 wins last year. That's a gigantic spike. And due to his .371 BABIP. Most of his numbers stayed the same in 2013 versus 2012, except his average spiked 60 pts, and his BABIP spiked 70 points. I don't think Freeman is truly a 5 WAR player. I'd put him more around 3 wins. At $17M a year, he needs to be about 3.5 WAR every year. It's doable, but you usually expect to get a bargin when you buy out 3 years of a players arbitration. He is getting paid as if he was a free agent yesterday. Fair market value, but not something I'd give to a player with 3 arb years left. I feel as if Freeman doesn't have enough power to justify a huge contract. He's a good hitter, but until he gets his ISO above .200, I don't see him as a premier hitter at the 1B position.

Glad to see Carl's gone back to being super annoying.
  17. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 08:34 AM) I used to use the free version of LogMeIn. However, it is no longer free. I mainly used it to remotely access my Grandma's computer (Win XP) and occasionally my Mac at home. Does anyone know any free alternatives? MS has a Remote Desktop app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...oft.rdc.android It obviously won't work for your Mac though.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 8, 2014 -> 09:24 PM) It always seemed to me that was the thing its users liked the most about it. I think the problem was that by its nature, HTML editing or not, it became something that adults would never like...and unfortunately its user base starting approaching adulthood. We're already seeing with Facebook that you can't own a single age demographic across generations when it comes to social networking, it seems. When MySpace was popular, I just started high school and back then, doing all that s*** to your page was awesome. But eventually it got too crazy.
  19. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 8, 2014 -> 07:26 AM) Facebook's new app Paper is pretty good, at least on IOS. I don't think anyone would disagree that G+ is a leaner/meaner product than Facebook, and the things it does it does very well, unlike FB, which is more of a jack of all trades/master of none. But when you look at it that way, it's easy to have a limited product do it's limited actions much better than a vastly larger product like Facebook. In the end, G+ is just a limited version of FB, and the most important commodity in these services is the community, which just isn't there. Oh, and I'm not really a huge fan of Facebook either, but that's where the people are, and without people, these services are useless. Facebook grew organically, because people WANTED to be a part of it, whatever it was that FB had that caused people to do that, G+ is missing it. Most of it's growth thus far wasn't organic, it was forced by Google, which led to most of the G+ accounts that exist to go unused or ignored. Paper does seem nice, but I think that's the first mobile app FB's made that people have actually liked. The FB app has always been kind of "eh" on iOS and Android (Android specifically). It's not a great app, but you kind of need to use it if you have FB.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 8, 2014 -> 10:09 AM) Facebook really exploded because of college students latching onto it as a better way of sharing their experiences than MySpace. I can't really recall what features Facebook had that MySpace did not, but that organic growth took place on college campuses and spread like wildfire. If you really want a social networking product to reach a community, you've got to convince those in the best position to utilize it that it's the best product out there. I think Google+ is just trying to supplant something that has too strong roots at this point. MySpace became a total clusterf*** with all the HTML editing you can do on their pages.
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 10:47 PM) Yeah, I would love Google+....if only anyone used it. Google+ is pretty much a Google/tech news reader. Oh and I also use it to get beta versions of apps. That's about it. I actually do talk to friends on Hangouts though, it's one of the few major video services that allows you to do multi-person chats for free.
  22. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 10:22 AM) Are you crazy or something? You aren't supposed to question anything Google does on the Internets. Their army of unpaid lemmings will relentlessly attack you. Oh, and you should sign up for G+, it's really awesome, and wayyyy better than FB. Only it's not. But it is. Only it's not. Google+ actually does quite a few things better than FB. Their photo editor, auto-backups, Google Hangouts, just to name a few. I'd be more inclined to use it if other people actually use it though. Using G+ on Android makes a lot of sense since the FB app is utter crap. It's ugly, it runs a billion services in the background that'll drain your battery, and it's fairly slow. There's a few 3rd party clients that are way lighter, much better looking, and less resource intensive. I personally use Klyph. But since FB's API is...well...lacking, the app doesn't have all the functionality the FB app has.
  23. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 10:17 AM) But you must have gmail open, which defeats the purpose. Oops didn't see that part. I use an app called PushBullet that mirrors all my notifications to Chrome, so whenever I get email, text, FB message, etc on my phone I get it on my desktop as well. And if you don't care for that, there's numerous Chrome extensions that are way better than Google's Gmail notifier: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/c...ljbihmemj?hl=en
  24. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 09:21 AM) So google got rid of gmail notifier? That's annoying. There's notification system in Chrome now. New emails should pop up for you. https://support.google.com/mail/answer/1075549?hl=en
