  1. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 01:07 PM) I am 100% certain that the TV has an available HDMI input. I am 80% certain that I actually have an extra HDMI cable and wouldn't even need to buy one. The big question mark is the laptop. It's an HP that's only two years old, so it should have one, right? You gotta check, it's usually on the sides. If it was a higher end laptop, then yeah. If it was like $400, no. HDMI wasn't standard on cheap laptops two years back. It is now. At the very least, it will have VGA and you can hook it up to the TV.
  2. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 12:56 PM) Really stupid question from somebody who is not tech savvy: I have a laptop and an HDTV. Is there a way to connect the two so that something I am watching on the laptop (such as mlb.tv) displays on the TV? If I can do this, it make me more likely to buy mlb.tv. If your laptop has an HDMI, DVI, or VGA output and your TV has an HDMI, DVI, or VGA input, then yes. I recommend going with the HDMI since it's audio + video in one cable. You can find some cheap HDMI cables on Amazon. DO NOT go into Best Buy and ask them for HDMI cables.
  3. You save at least $25 with this deal. So if you're out of town, this would be a great thing to have. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index...d=MLBTVREDIRECT If you're blacked out somehow, Google "Tunnelbear". It'll cost you a little bit of money for unlimited bandwidth, but it's a great VPN client that can route your IP elsewhere.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 11:50 AM) Except isn't he scheduled to sit for Viciedo tonight? Well, he did sit the second game out. I'm hoping Robin looks at those splits and starts him.
  5. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 11:36 PM) Those first two were definitely off. I could see the goaltend call if they didn't think Durant touched it first. I can see how they'd miss that live. That one on Wade was also weird. You pretty much expect the refs to miss/screw up a couple every game. That doesn't necessarily mean it was heavily slanted, I'm sure if I really tried I could find two that went OKC's way. The last one, as I said, I don't really see it. There was some contact on the floor, but Durant still got off a clean shot. That's pretty picky to me, then again I generally err towards the no-call. Then LeBron clearly slapped Westbrook's wrist as he was going for the offensive rebound. That one was clear as day IMO.
  6. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 10:50 PM) Seriously? If they called that foul with Lebron taking the shot, everyone would be going ballistic. They probably would have if this was in Miami. I think people are pissed that the Thunder didn't even get hometown calls. Ones that Miami would have gotten.
  7. I'm surprised that last KD shot was a no call. LeBron made some contact pre-shot and he definitely committed a loose ball foul against Westbrook. Slapped him right on the wrist to prevent the offensive board.
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 09:40 PM) Need some magic to keep the Sox streak of winning last 11 interleague series going. They lost the last one...?
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 05:51 PM) Yes, and since it doesn't look like Danks will be ready, that series will probably be: Mon: Garza vs Peavy Tue: Wood vs Floyd Wed: Dempster vs Sale We got this.
  10. Alright, top of the order due up. We need to win this one.
  11. How do you like Yadi steal a base off you? Da f***?
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 09:22 PM) Sale will be I hope it's at least Sale and Quintana. Maybe Danks will be back by then as well, although I hear he had some shoulder soreness today (ugh).
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) Sucks we face Greinke and Gallardo instead of guys like Fiers I'm hoping we have Sale and Peavy going in that series, but I don't think it will happen.
  14. QUOTE (Tex @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) I'm not too certain about that. He is about the lowest rated manager by most posters here, yet the Marlins and their fans were practically dancing in the streets to get him. They valued him much higher than Sox fans. So it seems like we underrated him compared to Marlin ownership and fans. At least when he was announced as their manager. In reality they probably overrated him and we underrated him. Time will tell who was closer to reality. The Marlins don't have fans.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) We've got a tougher interleague stretch than Detroit or Cleveland this week It gets easier for us next week. Cubs and Brewers.
  16. Durant and Westbrook have been awful so far. Harden is keeping the Thunder somewhat in it.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) Stop sucking out of the stretch, Gavin. Everyone's hitting like an MVP against Gavin when he's in the stretch. I believe opponents have a .400+ wOBA when they face him in the stretch. It's freaking ridiculous.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) His curve was f***ing awesome in his last start. So was Humber's. Unfortunately, both got lit up by a team that just struck out 14 times without getting on base against Cain.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 02:16 PM) I do not understand, truly do not, how you guys can despise a man that led the White Sox to the only World Series we are gonna win in our lifetimes. Chicago baseball historically is that bad and does NOT figure to change anytime soon. Do you realize how tough it is to win a WS? He was our leader. I call B.S. He could have gone elsewhere and would have if he disliked Ozzie. Nobody else will offer him his number * 1,000,000. Not even close. C.J. Wilson got less money than him and Wilson is a superior pitcher.
  20. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 12:25 PM) Just watching a little bit of this Indians/Reds game... How are the Indians still competitive in the division? They really don't have a great team. Talk about smoke and mirrors... Yet, they're hanging around. So better team than we give them credit for? or Just a s***ty division? They don't have good starting pitching. They don't hit for power. They do however, get on base and they have a pretty good back end of the bullpen.

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 11:14 AM) Just Go With It Bucky Larson Jack and Jill That's My Boy That's about as bad a 2 year stretch as anyone has ever had. Jesus. I though That's My Boy actually looked better than those previous Sandler movies, but I guess not.
  22. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 11:52 AM) Gavin Floyd looks like Daniel Tosh Now if he had Daniel Tosh's brain, things would be a lot better.
  23. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 12:10 PM) Would it surprise anyone if Verlander no-hit the Cubs today? Kate Upton on alert. 2K should make a new MLB 2K12 commercial if Verlander does throw a perfect game. It'll show Kate Upton letting him into the perfect club and giving him a lap dance. xD

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 04:18 PM) lulz It appears that the biologist must have a thing for alien penises.
