  1. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 08:29 AM) This is true, but the ball stayed in the air so long Dunn was able to round the bases twice. That was the first time I've seen Dunn swing really hard. He almost fell out of his shoes swinging at that one.
  2. QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 04:02 AM) For those of you who dislike Hawk, try listening to the lame ass guys the Cardinals run out there. They actually said that Orlando Hudson consulted with Jake Peavy prior to signing here since they know each other from playing together in San Diego. I guess they're allowed to make up whatever bulls*** and flat out lie if they want. Epic fail. I've heard those two before and yes, they do suck at what they do.
  3. Why the hell is Bosh shooting so many 3s? Just because he got hot one game shooting it doesn't mean he should start shooting 5 a game. He's a career 29% 3 point shooter.
  4. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:26 PM) They keep letting him get clean catches for some reason and he's making them pay. Why is Wade on him half the time? It makes no sense. You have to guard him exclusively with LeBron and Battier in order to deny him the ball. Wade's not tall enough.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) Lebron a solid 1 for 5 in the fourth so far. Durant 6 for 10. Durant is so much more likable too.
  6. Tigers lose. Sox 6 up.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:03 PM) Quintana is the Phil Humber of 2012. Has really saved the team, and especially KW's butt. Whoever recommended picking him up deserves a promotion in the scouting department. Of all the starters in MLB in the middle of June, 2012, his story might be the most surprising of all. This puts a ton of pressure on Humber's next outing. I'm still not convinced that he can sustain the success he's had. But I'll take whatever he gives us.
  8. Derek Fisher actually did something useful!
  9. Gutsy effort by Quintana. I still don't know how he can get guys out with the stuff he has. It must be good location...
  10. Cubs hitters are getting schooled by Phil Coke. SMH.
  11. Good thing Danks is in LF now. I'm so scared of Dunn out in LF.
  12. QUOTE (rowand's rowdies @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) Sox will have more than 2 all stars for the first time since 2006 when they had 7. SEVEN. That is not a typo. Without looking it up, who can name the 7? Your hint is that 2 of them still play for the White Sox. I think a lot of that had to do with Ozzie being manager. I remember a lot of fans thought he was doing his players favors by including them on the team. Buehrle probably shouldn't have been on the team. He was really struggling in June and July that year.
  13. Say no to Soriano. That is all. Rios is doing fine and I'm confident that he will end up being productive (all things considered) for the rest of his contract.
  14. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:54 AM) Usually that group isn't into 2k+ purchases, though. They're fine with spending 299$ on a new phone or 499$ on a tablet...but not 2k+. If I am Apple die hard and I'm looking for a new laptop with cash to blow, I'd totally buy the new Macbook for $900 more. I found this funny...it might be able to play Crysis. I see that it comes with a GTX 650M with the newest Ivy Bridge CPUs. I'm fairly sure the 650M might be an add-on option though.
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:46 AM) Whatever the case may be, the people have spoken and it's apparent that the laptop crowd is willing to pay a premium for an awesome screen/sleek engineering... This new Macbook Pro with retina has already slipped to a 2-3 week ship time...which means they're selling like hotcakes. This is the case with almost every new Apple product. You and I both know that there is a group of people who will buy anything with an Apple logo slapped on it.
  16. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:40 AM) The people that buy laptops like this aren't doing it to play Windows only games. They're doing it for photography/graphics and/or the occasional game...but maybe no games at all. i.e. niche market. I understand that they won't play Windows games, the Crysis thing was a joke.
  17. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 10:30 AM) And?! It's about driving technology forward, which Apple is doing right here. 3rd party companies cannot optimize their software to support hardware that doesn't exist...so are you seriously knocking Apple for giving them access to technology that would allow it?! Wow. Take the blinders off, Mr. Apple Hater. When they do optimize their applications for this new display, it will look amazing, especially for photographers, graphics majors, etc. You may not realize it, but this release, and their "retina" screen technology in general, has pushed screen quality forward in a way nobody bothered to do before they did it. Today, in direct response to apples "retina" phones, you have competing Android phones now using upwards of 300 ppi screens at much higher resolutions...until Apple started pushing higher density screens, nobody cared about them...all they did was up resolution, but the screen quality/density was still lacking. I never said the technology sucked or that it wasn't useful (right now, it's more or less targeted at a niche market). If you're paying $2100 for a laptop, it better be able to play Crysis 3.
  18. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) Dance party! This makes me think even less of them.
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 05:51 AM) I think we get Konerko, Sale, AJ in the manger picks + vote. Peavy and Dunn maybe by manager, but I can see them being skipped. De Aza merely on the final vote roster, but not necessarily winning it. De Aza is the third most valuable OFer in the AL. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=...0&players=0
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 08:59 AM) In case it was missed, 5/$85 extension for Ethier. Seems like a bit of an overpay... Ethier just doesn't seem like an $18 million player. $12 million sounds about right.
  21. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 08:09 AM) Yes, with a LCD that probably costs upwards of 1500$ alone. Do me a favor, go find me a 15.4" laptop with a 2880x1800 screen at 220ppi and let me know what it costs. Odds are nobody else even offers anything close to that resolution, and if they did...they'd also cost a lot. If you're going to nitpick the Apple tax, which is what you're doing...use the Mac Pro as a better example, it's clearly overpriced and contains nothing you couldn't get elsewhere for less...aside from style that is, the Mac Pro really offers no real substance. Whereas, the retina display Macbook Pro offers something nobody else does...so the premium is at least temporarily justified. Most third party applications aren't even optimized to use the screen. So you're basically paying the premium to use Apple's currently optimized applications.
  22. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 08:23 PM) So we lost the game, but won the war? We do if he doesn't face us when they're here next month.
  23. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 05:15 PM) Apple introduced a new, thinner Macbook Pro that has a retina display and is all soid state, but it's expensive. http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/ $2000 for a laptop? O.o
  24. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 07:26 PM) Morrow out after 9 pitches tonight. Looks like the 119 pitches from the last start got to him.
