  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 19, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) Lin. 28 points (11-20 FG), 4 rebounds, 14 assists, 5 steals, 1 block (7 TO) in 45 minutes. Wow. 45 freakin' minutes. I'm never the kind of person who just cheers for individual players, but I find myself watching Lin's games just to watch him play.
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 11:33 PM) Ok, I got some catching up. 1) ss2k5 are you on crack? Jordan would average 40 a game in today's NBA. No hand checking, no Payton/Clyde/Dumars/Cooper/Moncrief to guard him, only one great big (who isn't s*** against the guys Jordan went up against), superstar calls, and he'd get f***ing pissed when someone like LeBron starts dancing and just drop bombs. 2) Hakeem > Dwight athletically. Dwight's got more vertical, but he could only begin to Dream (motherf***ing puns) about having Hakeem's coordination. 3) Wilt would still be good. Dude was Derrick Rose fast, a health freak that ran marathons in his 50s, and had great leaping ability. He wouldn't put up 50 and 25, but he'd be the best center in today's league, even with the 3 second rule. 4) Bill Russell would still be able to play. Probably not a Hall of Famer, but he'd be an all-star once or twice. 5) Cousy is an awkward motherf***er. Dunno how he'd adapt. 6) Wade is about equal to Clyde athletically. Look at this young man tell all you old folks what's up. Young people represent.

My roommates and I have been hooked on The Walking Dead for the past week. Really good show.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) Did you see the game on Sunday? Which they barely won... NBA players sure age fast.
  5. I'm also in the replace Lucas with James camp.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 09:57 PM) Portland has RIPCITY on the chest of their home jerseys. Awful They've had those for a few years now.
  7. That's game. Deng with another double-double and six 3s.
  8. Wow, this is some horrible officiating. Does the lead ref have money on this game or something?
  9. Boozer's having an incredibly good game, which is extremely surprising since he usually disappears against teams above .500.
  10. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 09:22 PM) Then that's s***ty reporting, which is kind of what Steve was initially getting at. I thought he was just pointing out that ESPN likes to stretch/distort the facts to make a bigger story out of certain things, which they do a lot of.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 09:22 PM) I'm not ripping Jeremy Lin. I like Jeremy Lin. I can still analyze his game and final stat line. He played fine. However, 6 turnovers in 26 minutes is a tad careless and continues a trend that he needs to stop. I'm not saying you are and I think almost everyone agrees that the turnovers are weight down his game right now.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) They all count. I'm not ripping the kid. I'm ripping the analysis. I'm just saying that maybe Leggler didn't watch the last 2-3 minutes of his play or didn't see his end-of-game stat line. What he said is somewhat true though, he did take care of the ball for the majority of the game.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) I really love the Jeremy Lin story. Of course, I had to turn on ESPN at 9 for the Warriors/Blazers game. Tim Legler provided his "analysis" about how the Knicks need Lin to play like he did last night and facilitate when Carmelo returns. His exact words included "and he took care of the ball and limited his turnovers". Hey, the dude played great. You don't get 13 dimes in and 26 minutes without doing so. However, there's no reason to lie to the audience. At that rate, per 48 Lin turns the ball over 11 times. I really just abhor ESPN, and avoid it like the plague, but there was no avoiding that one apparently. Well, to be fair, Lin only had like 3 TOs with about 6 min left in the 3rd. He then turned it over 3 times in the next few minutes.
  14. QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 09:04 PM) Deng had 23 points and 11 assists against the Kings yesterday. Lin had a nice game, but it's really nothing to brag about. 13 assists in 26 minutes is pretty damn good. Had he not turned the ball over 3 times in like the last 2 minutes he played, he would have had an Lincredibly efficient game.
  15. QUOTE (Wanne @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 06:54 PM) Anybody check out the current ESPN MLB main page cover story today/latey? Walker needs to "fix" Heyward... Yeah, stay away from Heyward in your fantasy baseball drafts.
  16. Yet another double double for Lin.
  17. 9 assists at the half for Lin. I know it's the Kings, but damn.
  18. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 11:34 PM) f***. I thought Mongolians and Japanese people were the same thing. Now you're telling me they're not? Yup and Mongolians (especially the nomads) probably don't know WTF sushi is. I know, it's disappointing.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) Isn't Lillibridge a much better outfielder than infielder? My hope is Ventura sits Rios the first time Alex loafs and then platoons him with Fuko. I think Lilly could have filled whatever role Fuko has on the club this year. Rios did hit like absolute crap against righties last season (.204 vs. R compared to .287 against L). So that would make a lot of sense.
  20. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) Of all people seriously? Imagine if you were good at basketball and people called you the Bosnian/Croatian Nightmare? Or would you care if people said "Who cares they are all the same?" I dont care about his race, I just also dont think all Asians are the same. Its 2 different things. I don't think anyone here thinks Asians are all the same. If you do, then well...time to get educated.
  21. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Most Asian Americans love sushi. I mean who doesn't? It seems Mayweather has a thing up his ass about Asians as he continues to call them out. So for Lin, it has been, what, six games now? Are we still talking about sample size? And apparently he's pretty clutch as well. This kid's got talent. I don't.
  22. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Yes he is from California. He may eat sushi; however, his family's cultural and ethnic history does not include Japanese food (to my knowledge.) I hope that sushi thing wasn't taken seriously. I was just making fun of Floyd Mayweather.
  23. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 08:47 PM) Hes from Taiwan, not Japan or China. His parents are from Taiwan, which is still technically part of China, just not the People's Republic of China.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) LMFAO @ Stacy King's "DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO POST VIDEOS TO FACEBOOK" after Taj's dunk. It's a new saying of his.
  25. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 08:45 PM) I don't believe that Taiwanese people eat sushi. Neither do Fillipinos. But Floyd Mayweather didn't know the difference!
