  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) True. But Stafford certainly didn't disappoint either. He had one of the greatest season's ever for a QB that's not even 24 yet. I'd attribute some of that to Calvin Johnson. Sometimes Stafford just lobs passes up in the air for Johnson to adjust to. That being said, he's made major strides. I could be alone on this, but I'd rather take Cutler than Stafford right now (as in, as of this moment, not taking age and contract into account). Give Cutler Stafford's offensive line and Calvin Johnson and he puts up better numbers.
  2. Drew Brees is so much fun to watch. There's a guy who knows his s***.
  3. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 07:37 PM) If they don't cut the deficit considerably by the start of the 4th, might as well rest the starters. I wanna see some J Butler. You got your wish.
  4. The Hawks are the streakiest team in the NBA. I still think the Bulls win this one. They were only down 2 at the 3 min mark and then the Hawks got hot again. They're going to get tired soon enough.
  5. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 06:32 PM) Did the whole f***ing Hawks team snort lines of coke before the game? I expected them to be dead tired after playing two OT games. WTF? This has to be the most unpredictable team in the league.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 07:41 AM) His wife is super hot. That is about all of the justification needed Mark Kotsay effect.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 10:23 AM) If he was on a team that didn't have one "Kevin Durant", no one would care about him taking over. The problem with Westbrook is that he's so damn erratic. I sure as hell wouldn't want him as a #1 option.
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 08:41 AM) If he had Rondo's brain, that team would be even more deadly. He'll flash his superior athleticism, good vision, etc. but his overall decision making with the ball/basketball I.Q. is below average for a guy with his tools. Raymond Felton had harsher words a couple days ago.. They probably should have traded Westbrook for Rondo + a role player. Rondo's nowhere near as athletic, but he at least knows how to distribute the ball and play great defense. Westbrook had a lot to do with the Mavericks beating OKC last year. There were a decent amount of games where he was flat out bad and decided he wanted to take over instead of feeding Durant.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 11:53 PM) Then I'll be wrong. I really don't care. The Knicks have been disappointing so far and the Bulls haven't missed a beat from last year (regular season, at least). That's what Steve probably wanted to hear.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 11:48 PM) For the 15th time, I said they had a case. I never said Knicks > Bulls or Bulls > Knicks. And can we at least wait until, I don't know, 20 games before we start the "I told you so's?" As for the Thunder, they're more talented than any team in the league outside of Miami. I didn't say they were better than the Bulls. Q said the Bulls and Heat are easily the two best teams in the league. Conference? For now, yes. League? No. Well, saying the Knicks were on the same level as the Bulls was definitely wrong.
  11. Boozer took some really long shots that he shouldn't have. His shot around the FT line was dead-on, but he was shooting 19-20 footers. You can tell Derrick wasn't playing as aggressively. He did have a couple of nice drives, but he went to the floater a lot more than he has in previous games.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 09:24 PM) I usually like King. But he's been abysmal tonight. First he said Rose has been playing as well as any other player in the game. That's way false. Then he said Bulls fans need to get up and send some votes Luol's way for the all-star game. Those are useless votes. LeBron's getting voted in no matter what. Deng has an okay chance at being a reserve. He's better than Pierce, Johnson, and Granger, so he should make it.
  13. QUOTE (Mr. Showtime @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 08:20 PM) Just as an FYI the game is being broadcast on WCIU - The U for those who locally get the channel. I had thought it was just a national broadcast tonight, so if you want to hear King and Funk you can. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. Wilbon has Pacers as #3 team in East. lol I know the Knicks look like crap, Boston's old, and Orlando is stuck as a good, but not great team, but come on...
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) Hey a spot where boozers fadeaway crap makes sense! Boozer's a lot of fun to watch when his jump shot is on. Everything he makes is basically a perfect swish since his shot has so much arc.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) Howard made a dirty diaper out of Noah in the first quarter. What do they do in the second quarter? Ignore Howard and jack, jack, jack up three after three with no ball movement whatsoever. That's Stan Van Gundy basketball though. Shoot 3s and have Howard rebound.
  17. Boozer at the buzzer!
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 08:06 PM) This is one sorry ass supporting cast around Howard. Anderson's shot is off. Richardson and Nelson have played like absolute crap this year.
  19. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 07:50 PM) Lucas is a poor mans Janerro Pargo, can't wait for cj to get back. They should have just kept Pargo.
  20. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 07:36 PM) Just imagine Rose and Dwight on the same team. Jeez. Not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7...
  21. Howard is killing Joakim.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 07:17 PM) Derrick looks badass with the sleeve. Hasn't affected his play so far. 8 pts and 2 assists on 4 shots. And Boozer needs to stop shooting off-balance fade aways.
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 06:51 PM) My question is what is the Padres' angle here? They really, really like Cashner? Cost-controlled closer.
  24. http://deadspin.com/5873598/ Barkley says his weight watchers thing is a scam, thinking his mic was off the air. lawl.
