A turnover there would have been so sad. That ball got loose because the two Bears ran into each other.

I'm sure they were more than 5 yards from the end zone. Gronkowski pushed off on Urlacher in the end zone. That could be offensive PI.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 03:19 PM) First down you can always measure. touchdown...that's the hard one. I'm watching in SD since my HD channel doesn't work. So the first down chains aren't always so easy to see.

Devin turned nothing into something. Almost lost 10 yards in the process though, lol.

I totally shouldn't have started Brady in fantasy. Josh Freeman got 18 points. And with the visibility in Chicago, I'll be glad to just get like 15 points out of Welker and Brady combined.

White Sox listening to offers for Buehrle
QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 01:28 PM) If we traded him the best we could hope for would be salary relief and maybe some reclamation projects. Like, maybe we eat about $3-4M and send him to the Brewers for Manny Parra and Carlos Gomez. A deal like that could be awesome if we were able to get another starter via trade, because you could send Gomez somewhere for a reliever and use Parra as the starter until Peavy is ready, then put him in the pen as a Coop project. Or maybe you use Mark in another high-salary swap, the Mets being a perfect fit given their terrible SP staff and both KRod and Beltran (who we could use) making lots of cash in the final years of their deals. But then a deal like that doesn't really serve a purpose, unless you're able to throw in Teahen's contract or something and get salary relief that way. Or unless you get another piece or two in the process. Hawk would blow a load.

Hawk didn't even have to blow the place up himself. It fell apart all by itself.

Multiple Sources: Sox actively shopping Quentin
I'm guessing the plan is trade Quentin for bullpen pieces and then re-sign Andruw Jones... Argh. Anybody interested in Austin Kearns?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 04:49 PM) Hard to do a platoon with 2 righties. (Yes, I know Q has hit righties better than lefties, but I'm playing the manager name card) If anything, he'd be a great 4th OFer to have. I'd definitely welcome him back for another 550k.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 04:43 PM) 9:54pm: The Cubs and Rays met again to talk about a potential trade that would send Garza to Chicago for prospects, according to Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com. The Brewers and Rangers have also met with the Rays about Garza, but the Cubs have the strongest current bid, according to Levine. However, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel hears that talks between the Rays and Brewers did not progress (Twitter link). 5:17pm: The Rays have been uninspired by the offers for Garza and may hold on to the right-hander until next summer, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post (on Twitter). 10:40am: The Cubs are one of four teams in the mix for Rays righty Matt Garza, reports ESPN's Bruce Levine. The Rays are interested in receiving prospects in return. That's what is out there. I don't think the Cubs would be interested in this deal if they had to gut what they're building. What good prospects do the Cubs have that they'd be willing to trade? Vitters? Lee?

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) To my knowledge, Andruw Jones isn't on our team right now. I kind of want him back. He could platoon with Quentin and our RF defense won't be as bad.
