QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 05:16 PM) KW has never made a mid-season trade where the player(s) helped send the team into the playoffs that season. Let's hope this is the first. Blum doesn't count haha FWIW, Griffey made a nice throw in the play-in game back in 08.

QUOTE (sunofgold @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 05:04 PM) Does Kevin have a Gold Glove? is he decent defensively? We don't have to make any more 25 man roster changes. Kevin U in, BSBridge out. Doesn't Boston want some Fu-Ku? Youk's not good at 3B, but you can play him there without worrying too much.

So the big question now is...will Danks give up his #20 to Youk?

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 05:00 PM) Our return from the Javy trade just went up. So did our return for Edwin Jackson.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:57 PM) Just heard Ventura say Lillibridge has never been traded before...um third time, Robin. Yup...from Pittsburgh to Atlanta, then from Atlanta to the Sox.

QUOTE (daggins @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:42 PM) Gordon is doing well in the #2 spot, I'd hit him 6th, with DV moving to 7th. Alexei should hit 9th from here out unless he turns it around. A.J.'s hitting 6th. 7th or 8th will be fine with me. Dayan's not exactly lighting the world on fire, so I wouldn't oppose moving him down to 8. I think the important thing is that Hudson's finally out of the lineup.

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:41 PM) Kenny sure does love his past-their-prime players. Vizquel, Griffey, Hudson, Youkilis Youk was still pretty damn good last year.

QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:39 PM) SO EXCITED to see Youk in this lineup. Where do you guy put him? After Aj? With the way he's hitting, you'd have to hit him either 7th or 8th. An interesting thought would be to hit him second. He's got the on base skills to thrive in that role.

lol I remember when people (like myself) were okay with trading Q for Youk like a month ago.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:38 PM) SOB gave up 6 hits in 8 innings today. Pretty darn difficult to have any of them be consecutive when you give up 6 hits over 24 outs. You could if you're Javy Vazquez.

QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) So that is what he is owed completely or what? He's got $8 million left on the deal, pro-rated. He has a $1 million buyout next year. So we're on the hook for $3.5 million, at least.

QUOTE (johnnymick @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:34 PM) http://memegenerator.net/instance/22468330 Nice.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:31 PM) We got 5.5 million in this deal. Totally acceptable by me. Stewart's a sinker baller whose sinkers don't sink. I don't care if he's only been in AAA for like 21 innings. Lilli's expendable. He showed flashes of awesome power last year, but he'll never be a consistent hitter. $5.5 million for those two is an accomplishment.

Jose Quintana is the most interesting man in the world. When he gives up hits, they're not consecutive.

I'm glad we traded Lilli and not Escobar. I can't see Lilli getting the game winning hit there...

We finally won a series!

If Youk is healthy this is a good trade.

Trouble abrewing...

QUOTE (Sockin @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 03:29 PM) Someone on Twitter saying he was traded to the Tigers for Raburn and Young. lol where would they play him?

Looks like Q is starting to get hit a lot harder the second time around.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 01:58 PM) Why does everybody act like the AL is so superior? Who has been winning the WS lately? Who is kicking the Sox ass this season?? The NL. I'd sign him. Why not? Have you been paying attention to Interleague play outside of the Sox at all Greg? When you take everything into account the NL is bad. They have good teams, but they have very few. Just because one team from the NL won the WS doesn't mean the entire league is good or better than the AL. Jamie Moyer barely throws 80 MPH and gets crushed almost every start. Giancarlo Stanton hit a home run that had the highest velocity off the bat ever recorded off Moyer. There is no reason for the Sox to sign him when you have options like Axelrod, who will actually give you a chance to win the game the majority of the time. Jamie Moyer throws batting practice.

'Bout f***ing time.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jun 23, 2012 -> 02:26 PM) Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant to be on the cover of NBA 2k13. It's nice that DRose will be on the cover...too bad he won't be healthy for the majority of the year.

Cricket is offering the iPhone 4 and 4S at $400 and $500 respectively with their $55 unlimited plan. Not a bad deal, considering unlocked 4S phones cost like 600.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 09:35 PM) He's been doing this all too much lately...I don't know where his f***ing head is...he's trying to volley everything like he's Ivan Lendl or some s***. I'll take the 40 points less of batting average if he'll go back to hitting home runs. Even when he's put some good swings on pitches, they don't go very far. Something's up with that wrist. He should take some cortisone shots more often.
