Apparently, the Cavs wanted to give the fans some Big Macs since they fouled Deng for no reason. lol Bulls played a s***ty fourth again, that's been the case ever since Joakim's been out.

Rafael Soriano signs with Yankees
Boras is playing games with Kenny again. I heavily doubt that Soriano would take a cheaper deal just because of Ozzie. Besides, is there even a history between the two?

Is 2011 make or break for Ozzie?
It better be. You don't spend $120 million+ and lose the division.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) Noah needs to be in the booth until he gets back from injury. He was hilarious. It was like having Frank Thomas broadcasting White Sox games. Too much homerism, although I can't blame him for cheering his teammates on. He's still playing for the team.

Bobby Jenks to the Red Sox
QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 07:28 PM) A few points.... • I wonder if twitter would go away if the media didn't keep quoting things people say on twitter. How many people actually use the thing? • I don't see why anybody would give a f*** what Oney Guillen tweets. What does he have to do with anything? If he wants to reveal Bobby's problems, I guess somebody could ask Bobby to comment on what Oney is saying, but it's pretty irresponsible for anybody to quote a nobody like Oney Guillen's twitter posts. Who cares what Oney Guillen has to say on twitter? • I don't see how this involves Ozzie or your feelings about Ozzie at all. This is his kid. He has nothing to do with another grown human being over 21 years old. Why anybody thinks any of this reflects badly on Ozzie is beyond me. • Paul Konerko and AJP are back with the Sox; we just added Adam Dunn and Crain. If anybody thinks Ozzie is unbelievably difficult to play for or is a complete buffoon ... then why in the hell would these two veterans return (life is too short) and why would ANY free agents who could go anywhere sign with us? Believe me, if a veteran like Konerko thought Ozzie hurt his performance at all, he'd be outta here. And if AJ thought Ozzie was incapable of leading us to a WS title, he'd have gone elsewhere. Oh wait, he HAS already led us to a WS title. Just my two cents on NY's Rockin Eve. A lot of people use Twitter, especially those in the media. So you might as well just get used to it. People care what Oney Guillen tweets because he's Ozzie's son and he grew up in clubhouses. He knows a lot more about what happens in private than any of us here, whether it's with the White Sox or with whatever other team Ozzie's been employed by. He might not be the most trustworthy person in the world, especially after this incident, but everything he said about Jenks is something we already had a clue about (outside of punching the clubhouse attendant). So I don't think he was lying. Even though Oney should be a grown man, almost everybody in the Guillen family feeds off of Ozzie, especially Oney. I mean, this guy got a shot at pro ball because of his dad. He got to work in the organization because of his old man. I'm willing to bet they spend a lot of time together in the off-season. It's not improbable that Ozzie might have said some of this stuff to Oney. But you're right, players usually don't care what the manager's son does, especially if he's over 21. But people don't like Ozzie to begin with. There's been numerous polls saying that most players don't like Ozzie and don't want to play for him. That's mostly his fault because of the Tracey incident in 2006 and numerous other things that he said in the past. In the end though, money talks and that's how the Sox got Dunn and Crain to join them this off-season.

2010-11 MLB Offseason Catch-All
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 04:44 PM) I can't help but think about the possibility of having signed Beltre instead of Konerko, and then Lee instead of Crain. For a few million more dollars this year (obviously we would have more committed down the road), I feel like we could be a lot better. I doubt Jerry would have ponied up the money for Beltre. Plus, Boras is his agent.

Teixeira: Pettitte Leaning Toward Retirement
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 30, 2010 -> 05:23 AM) Garnder doesn't put this team over the top, I won't even comment on the Beckham to 3B and CQ for Howie Kendrick trade proposal... As of right now everyone is saying Jake will be ready to go Opening Day, and until Kenny signs a cheap starter, I believe he is coming back in April. I don't see how you can think otherwise, and I don't understand why the coaching staff would be bluffing about Peavy's comeback. This isn't the Chicago Cubs organization. Howie Kendrick is the 2B version of CQ. Good potential, always hurt.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 06:31 PM) #3 in def. eff. already? That means we've been surging upwards in that. Bulls are #3 in ESPN's Hollinger ratings. Our strength of schedule in the last 10 has been .403, that's probably why we're surging in the defensive categories. It's not gonna get any worse either, I count like 7-8 games against good teams in the next two months or so.

Listened to the B&B interview with Oney. Bernstein really tried to put him in his place and for a good number of moments, Oney seemed pretty speechless.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 01:53 PM) I'm thinking Ozzie needs to be canned. You cant have your manager telling his leaky mouthed kid private clubhouse information. Oney should be canned from all White Sox facilities.

Found it surprising Matt Ryan made the Pro Bowl and not Aaron Rodgers. Even Jay Cutler has a higher passer rating than Ryan.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 10:29 PM) NFL is wacky and anything can happen, but with the 2 meaningful games to the bears at 12 and bears at 3, they should have no chance at the 1st at that point, so we'll see what Lovie does If the Vikings can beat the Eagles, then the Panthers can beat the Falcons. I hope Jimmy Claussen becomes Tom Brady and Jonathan Stewart goes AP on Atlanta.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 02:01 PM) Here we go... I wonder what Greg has to say about this. Two of his favorite things to defend are now going at it with each other. Oney absolutely owned Jenks. This is going to be all over the internetz very soon.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 12:13 AM) I don't think so. I've been to Utah and I almost died from boredom. This was like in 1999. And there's like no black folks. The only black people I can recall were Karl Malone, who's not really black, and Byron Russell . This.
