No thanks to A-Ram.

QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 10:13 AM) Personally I think in two years Rasmus is going to be a stud. I would love to have him on our team. Rios, however, will be an awful bat for a RF. On the other hand, I would not trade Carlos for Beachy, who has limited upside and is likely to be a #4 or #3 starter at best. Carlos is far and away one of our two best hitters right now. Saying that we have a suitable replacement in Dayan is not persuasive to me. We need both guys in the lineup to have a chance because we have so many other below average hitters. In addition, it is far from proven that Dayan can match Carlos' production. I'd rather take Beachy's #3 starter potential for 5 more years than have Quentin for one more.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 10:07 AM) They're not saying it's their 4th generation network, they're saying it's a 4G network, as defined by the ITU/IEEE. TMobile has a HSDPA network, which is 3G. They're purposefully distorting the truth, so f*** them for helping muddy the waters and further confusing consumers. They're about to get folded into AT&T next year anyhow, so meh.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 09:42 AM) I learned a handful of shortcuts/tips that now allow me to swype incredibly faster. So yeah, it was worth my time. I'm talking about Swype.

It's time for Peavy to back up all that talk.

I will be in if they win their next two games AND go above .500 against the Yankees and Red Sox.

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 09:38 AM) I think if they do get Ramus. CQ is gone no questions asked. They would have to clear a spot for Viciedo and Rios is un-tradeable. Next years outfield would potentially be Rios/Rasmus/Viciedo or Rasmus/Rios/Viciedo. If Rios can rebound at all, that could be a really good outfield both offensively and defensively. Rios has been so bad that it's hard to see him rebounding. It's amazing how many of our hitters become mentally f***ed once they get here.

Wow, Rasmus' UZR has gone down to -9.6 now. Yikes... But DRS has him at -2, which is a hell of a lot more believable.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) Here is a conspiracy theory (note I dont believe it at all) Sox are really trading MB to Cardinals, they moved back Humber's start so MB could pitch tonight (in front of home crowd) and then could be traded. WOOOooOOO If you trade Buehrle, you do it now. His value hasn't been this high since 2005.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 09:25 AM) The 5 minutes or so to take the built-in swype tutorial is invaluable. That thing's actually worth your time? After finding out my USB won't unmount and my Wifi keeps dropping on this kernel, I'm seriously considering going back to CM7 and re-flashing my old baseband. The grass wasn't so green on the other side this time.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 05:10 PM) Really, he wasn't that good in 08-09 either. He was ok. ERA around 4 or over, WHIP around 1.5. He had a 1.2 WAR season as a reliever. He might not have been great, but he was more than serviceable.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 08:28 PM) What do you mean by the bolded? CM7 is 2.3.4. At least the version I'm running. For my phone, CM7 is on the old baseband. Somebody has to port it for the new baseband in order for me to use CM7 on the baseband I'm currently on.

Nice bail out.

I feel like we are about to experience a Crainwreck.

Remember when Tony Pena used to be good in 07, 08, and 09? Yeah... Having him start last year totally f***ed his arm up.

I want Brandon Allen back dammit!

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 02:05 PM) The best stats there is the fact that he rarely walks people and gets a fair number of strikeouts. The walks indicate that his minor league numbers were no mirage and he really does have good control and the K's show that he really does have swing and miss stuff (which I saw in that short run he had with the Sox). All around fail on our coaching staff/scouts for undervaluing him. Even Coop thought he had messy mechanics. It wouldn't be the first time this organization screwed up in prospect evaluation.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) Cyanogen 7 available for that device? I ran a couple of CM7 roms. Didn't like it. I'm on a custom kernel on the new 2.3 baseband with a partially customized stock ROM. I'm waiting for CM to get ported to the new baseband.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 01:26 PM) Jeff Karstens went to the Pirates from the Yankees in 2009 and he's lighting up a 2.28 ERA this season. Everybody on that Pirates staff is having a good year one way or another. It's about time too. That organization's luck has finally turned around.

I'm liking my Optimus so far. I've been doing nothing but flashing ROMs on it the past few days. Still trying to find one that works 100% and doesn't suck. The first ROM I flashed got rid of everything (even the music player...).

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) Dunn Cleanup against a LHP with a 93 mph fastball. This is Ozzie's way of helping Dunn break out of it. Don't come back until you've handled your worst nightmare Adam!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 01:14 PM) Some recent succesful ones might include Ian Kennedy, Marcus Thames, Juan Rivera Maybe, just maybe, Austin Jackson? I would also put Brett Gardner in that group.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 12:57 PM) Yankees prospects scare the s*** out of me. No matter what, it seems like if the Yankees deal them, they flop hardcore. Jeff. Marquez. /thread

It's make or break time. Either this team has it or it doesn't. We'll find out by Wednesday.

Awesome. I can now safely buy Madden 12 and have something to watch in the fall/winter!
