  1. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 05:34 PM) obviuosly it was a long time ago and in college...but nonetheless this is a cool video Pace was the reason for the Pancake? I did not know this...
  2. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 05:31 PM) one of the problems with Orton is he didnt have enough arm strength or long distance accuracy to throw the deep ball to Hester.. we have a QB now who can. He had the arm strength, he was just incredibly inaccurate when it came to the long ball.
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 05:23 PM) too late over here I saw that the Bears traded for Cutler and I... Jizzed in my pants. Five minutes later I saw that Pace was also signed and I Jizzed in my pants.
  4. Angelo is actually doing something the fans agree on, it's a miracle. Good thing it's April 2nd and not April 1st. None of us would have believed this. Is Tory Holt next?
  5. We need a good target for him. Somebody besides Hester, somebody like hmmm...Tory Holt? Do it Angelo. I'm not all that saddened by the fact that we lost two first round picks in this trade because Angelo f***s those up to begin with anyhow. It's the third round pick that we gave up that I'm a little bit unhappy about. But f*** it, we actually got a real QB.
  6. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) If you can ever sit through Hamp and Holmes for a little while, you should count how many times Hampton says "uuuuuuh". He says it pre-thought, mid-thought, and post thought. That's what playing a decade of football can do to you.
  7. I'm 18 and I still listen to the Score. It's been my station since I was in middle school. Lawrence Holmes is by far my favorite host, cause I can actually relate to him on a lot of topics, both sports wise and lifestyle wise. I try not to listen to ESPN 1000 unless it's a Bulls game. I haven't had that station on much since 2005, which was the last year ESPN was the Sox' flagship station.
  8. Memphis would still be s*** without Mayo, I just don't know how much s***tier. The Bulls would be what Memphis is right now without D-Rose. I think Rose wins. You can't let the two point difference in points per game totally distort the fact that Rose is dishing out 3-4 more assists per game.
  9. QUOTE (scenario @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 12:39 PM) Another piece from the advertising campaign... I think Snow Ozzie will become an internet phenomenon.
  10. It was when the Russians dropped the A-bomb on Hiroshima...
  11. The best part is when Alexei hit the slam against Detroit. I exaggerated that a lot in the video (I had three straight frames with him putting his hands up right after he hit the ball, a pump fist while running the bases, and him jumping on Konerko).
  12. Those have been done too much...
  13. Lefty and the Q one were great. "Hey Burls can you give me a hand? We need to draft more righties..."
  14. I know things aren't looking too well. But hey, it's baseball season and we all should be excited. As bad as it looks, things might end up okay. Well, maybe they won't...but here's something that'll get your pumped for baseball season again, I know it did for me. Certainly brings back the good memories of last season.
  15. I'm trying to sign up. But whenever I enter the league ID and the password, it says the league doesn't exist. What am I doing wrong?
  16. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Mar 27, 2009 -> 08:03 AM) AL Central: 1. Cleveland 90-72 2. Minnesota 88-74 3. Chicago 84-78 4. Detroit 80-82 5.   17. I really don't care. It's the backup spot. I'll go with Corky since he's had some ML experience before. Plus, Miller has a good arm.
  18. Can I still get into a H2H league?
  19. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 29, 2009 -> 05:43 PM) Bulls had no business making that comeback and sending it into OT. With that being said, why did Salmons sit? Why does Tyrus take that damn jumper in crunch time? My love/hate relationship with this team continues... Gotta agree on all these points. Being down so much by the end of the game, why not have Salmons come in and drain some 3s? For Christ's sakes the man was NBA player of the month and you have him sit in favor of Kirk Hinrich? Seriously Marion ate up Rose on offense. Marion got at least 4 points off of Rose late in the game because of the mismatch, it was disgusting to see. This team has the talent to compete with the higher ups with the NBA, but they make stupid ass mistakes against bad teams like Toronto. Plus, they let the Raptors shoot the s*** out of the ball. Bargnani should not be open half the time. You should not let the Pops whatever his last name was dunk on you for about 5 times and fire up their crowd. You can't let Rose get schooled by Calderon. I think the only reason why Vinnie left Hinrich in the game was so that he can guard Calderon, because Rose sure as hell couldn't do it and Gordon can't either. Somebody also needs to tell Tyrus Thomas he can't make 20 foot jumpshots. Stacy King said he could be like Shawn Marion, NO HE CAN'T! Marion can actually shoot long range jumpers with some accuracy. Tyrus can't hit open 18 footers. They need to tell him to play like a PF instead of a SF, because a PF is what he should be. The game was fun to watch near the end, but damn, too many stupid mistakes. I felt like I was watching a Sox game from last year on one of those days they couldn't hit.
  20. Brandon Morrow Chin Soo Choo Matt Garza Those are the three names that I've been picking up in the later rounds.
  21. He looks like a mold of Joe Mauer and Ryan Braun. He's got amazing bat speed and a very strong follow-through. And as some people said before, he shouldn't play catcher.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) Yeah, he wears an old Bears shirt under his uni. And AJP used to watch twins games when he was with SF. Of course, now he probably doesn't. For all he did for that Twins franchise (helped them form into a contender, got them Liriano and Joe Nathan), he isn't very appreciated.
  23. Good story, but this has been known for a while.
  24. Soccer's pretty fun to play. But yeah, watching it can get a bit boring.
  25. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) Ah, the standard "Old=Bad" argument. A classic. As expected, none of the CF candidates are making a strong statement to take the job. Anderson certainly has the leg up, but even as a strong Anderson supporter, I can't support him being the full time starter, as he has never shown he is fully capable. What he has shown however, at least last year, was his extra base power against LHP. 11 of his 18 hits last season were for extra bases, giving him a respectable .825 OPS. So now you need someone in CF to hit RHP. Wise, in 115 AB's last season posted a .261/.310/.487/.797 line in 115 AB's. Edmonds posted a .250/.362/.521/.883 line in 292 AB's. Edmonds should be able to be signed for at most 1.5 for one year. With a strict Anderson/Edmonds platoon, you should be looking at an OPS of around .830 out of the CF position, and good to great D on a night in and night out basis, this all for under 2 million dollars. Look how our 38 year old future hall of famer worked out last year. Like Griffey, Edmonds also has declining legs, so his defense is pretty bad. He takes good routes to balls, but he doesn't have the legs to run down those great plays he could have made 5 years ago. He's still a decent hitter, he hit very well with the Cubs last year. But that was not on a day-to-day basis as he platooned in center. Plus, he had much better protection in that Cubs lineup as he batted in the middle of the order. I don't know how we can ask him to lead off. We've already seen that going with the Oakland idea of putting a guy at leadoff who can do nothing but walk does not work (Swisher). Now granted, Edmonds can do a lot more than walk, but at this point in his career, he's a .250-.260 hitter. I don't see anything more than a Griffey clone with a little bit more power and healthier legs in Edmonds. I wouldn't be against this move as long as he is signed for a reasonable price. But I really don't think we'll get the production he had with the Cubs last year.
