QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 08:37 PM) How can someone suck so much but be on a MLB team? It's cause we're paying him major league money. He's so bad, Coup can't even fix him.

I haven't seen Matt pitch that bad for a while.

I don't think Thornton likes pitching in the 6th.

Decent start by Colon. Let's just hope we get out of this unharmed.

Getz saved a run there.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 08:10 PM) Anyone still think we should have traded Dye for Bailey? I'm thinking that we should re-sign JD and let Thome go. Put JD at DH, his fielding is horrid.

Longo with a double. Come on Colon, at least get through 6.

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 07:59 PM) wow, just wow. Before I read any other posts in this thread, I just want to say how impress I'm with Colon. Even though he just tied up the game, I think he's pitching a hell of a game. Also, it it just me, or does this almsot look like vintage 2003-Colon? It doesn't feel like we got the Colon that pitched for the Angels, it feels like we got the better 2003 version. HOME RUN!!!! Quentin!!! HAHAAHAHAHH!!!! Shhhhhh! Don't praise Fartolo just yet.

xD Jim got clocked in the head. Thome should have had two, but we'll give him that one.

This inning should be over right now. That was a strike. Moot point. Offense needs to go back to work.

At least JD still has a good enough arm to scare runners from tagging on fly balls. Colon's starting to miss up high. He did this against the Twins in his last start. And we're tied. Ugh.

Getz has hit Shields real well so far. Otherwise, I would have him bunt. I don't know how many chances we're going to have off of Shields. Crap, what am I talking about? It was one out. *Facepalm. Pena saved at least a run there.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) "Breaking ball to Ramirez looked like he'd never seen one before" - Farmer Did somebody screw with Alexei this off-season? He's never been a great breaking-ball hitter, but from my memories of last season, he didn't freeze up on off-speed pitches. I remember that he used to adjust very well to all kinds of pitches in the middle of at bats.
