There's a very real possibility that had we lost this game, the outlook at the deadline could be very different. Especially if a win like this gets the team going in the right direction again. This team still hasn't lost more than 3 in a row all year, but it'd be kind of hard to justify buying big at the deadline if you get swept by the Yankees without their 3 best hitters.
