The problem is that he has next to zero leverage. No team has the cap space to give him a $30 mil a year offer. Sure, he can take the QO and bet on himself, but then he'd also be risking a guaranteed $125 million to maybe make $30-40 million more. Kuminga's in a similar situation and I think the deal he gets will affect Giddey's contract. The longer this goes on the less the Bulls end up paying him. I don't think the Bulls should lowball him, but if he's asking for $30 mil this off-season, nobody but the Bulls can give that to him.
