  1. The Journey re-enactment with Crede, Rowand, and AJ was so bad, yet so funny.
  2. Noda ain't getting paid like Rojas nor does he have much past success. Rojas has been terrible but he's at least been decent in the past.
  3. Man the ball is carrying. I thought Sosa got underneath that one.
  4. Marquez is lucky we only scored 2. Teel and Rojas almost took him deep opposite field.
  5. The problem is that he has next to zero leverage. No team has the cap space to give him a $30 mil a year offer. Sure, he can take the QO and bet on himself, but then he'd also be risking a guaranteed $125 million to maybe make $30-40 million more. Kuminga's in a similar situation and I think the deal he gets will affect Giddey's contract. The longer this goes on the less the Bulls end up paying him. I don't think the Bulls should lowball him, but if he's asking for $30 mil this off-season, nobody but the Bulls can give that to him.
  6. Quero finally got his homer. It was so weird to see Meidroth have more pop than him so far.
  7. Calls like that are why ABS is coming
  8. He had Smith struck out. Oh well. I don't think we would have won in extras either way.
  9. .400 OPS? That's a big improvement for him.
  10. They could have gotten Jakucionis, Clayton, or Beringer with Memphis' pick.
  11. Lucky for the Rockies, the Sox didn't become completely god awful until July. The 2024 team won 3 games in July, ending it with 27 wins. So if the Rockies can win 9 games in the next month or so they might actually not have the most losses ever in a season.
  12. 2 picks away from Maluach...watch AK take Jakucionis now.
  13. Beal's contract is so bad that we better get draft pick compensation back if we trade him for Vuc + PW. He's owed $110 million over the next 2 years. For comparison, Vuc + PW's deals only get you to $93 million over the next 4.
  14. This is eerily similar to them trading Betts cause they didn't want to pay him. Devers' contract is probably gonna be terrible in about 4 years, but still. They basically got salary filler and one decent prospect back for a 4 WAR third baseman in his prime.
  15. The conundrum of not wanting to be a historically bad team, but also wanting the #1 pick in the draft.
  16. A 54 win team is a hell of a lot better than a 41 win team.
  17. He's been living off a good first 9 innings this year. His FIP has always been around 5. It's hard to constantly escape bad peripherals when you don't have good stuff like Wilson.
  18. Going from Taylor to Wilson is such a gigantic downgrade
  19. I'd say they really needed an OFer, especially when Eloy got hurt in 2021. Because Vaughn was mostly terrible out there. What didn't make a whole lot of sense was that he got worse as time went on. He was actually better in his first season than his 2nd in the outfield.
