But did he give up a homer to Bartolo Colon?

While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
Especially if what you're after is projected performance and not what he's already done.

There's definitely some sunk cost fallacy when it comes to him. We traded Curtis Mead for him, who just got the Nationals a top 50 prospect. So there's probably a feel like we need to get something of real value out of him because we traded so much away.

I guess the concern with his profile is that he strikes out a lot. But he also walks a lot and hits for a lot of power. He might also not stick at catcher, which will affect his value as a prospect. He's also 23...so if he doesn't keep progressing like he has down in the minors, he might lose his prospect status in 2 years.

Yeah I'd hate to trade a catcher that's raking for a rental having a bad year like Peralta. I guess the good thing about Peralta is that he's only making $8 mil this year so he's cheap.

FanGraphs has both these around the top 50 for the Twins.

Doubt it's much. Minter's a decent reliever making a lot of money this year ($11 million).

Wow the Twins are actually buying.

White Sox acquired RHPs Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin from BOS
Some things to add on here: The change in arm angle and release point is very obvious. Pre-injury: 32.1 degree arm angle, release point of (5.78, -1.97) Post-injury: 37.9 degree arm angle, release point of (5.98, -1.87) This has resulted in a higher whiff percentage (up 9%) and less balls (7% decrease). He's actually generating less called strikes, but more whiffs and fouls. There's been a real change here and that's what's encouraging about how good he's been. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Is It Time to Move Colson Down
I thought Ron made this thread and immediately thought that Colson will go on a hot streak.
