The Sox' lefties have a combined .539 OPS and .242 wOBA against right handed pitchers. That's the worst in all of baseball. Meanwhile Sox righties have a .313 wOBA against RHP, 10th in baseball. The lefty/switch hitter with the highest wOBA against RHP is fucking Reese McGuire at .293.

I think they messed up the run expectancy on the #2 missed call. They didn't take the free base runner into account since it was 1st and 2nd 1 out. The difference between their situation and the actual is almost half a run. So Toronto was actually favored by 1.5 runs, not 2. Still bad, but maybe not as egregious.

Benintendi seems like a really good fit. Last year before FA, would hit a lot more homers in Chicago than in KC (he would have had 12 more homers had he hit in Chicago last year), plays pretty good defense in LF, but his arm is kinda trash so I'm not sure he's really a good candidate for RF.

Jazz and TA would be the coolest middle infield in baseball. The problem is that I don't think Miami wants to trade Jazz for what the Sox have. Unless they really like Eloy or Moncada, I don't think we have the pieces. I doubt the cheap ass Marlins are going to want to get rid of a guy that's in pre-arb for 2 guys who have underachieved and are starting to really get paid.

This is probably the best stuff he's had all year. Maybe the Angels game was better results-wise but he had a no hit bid through 5 today and the only hit was an infield hit.

I didn't watch until the 9th so I rewatched the 8th. Martin really didn't do a whole lot wrong outside of the leadoff walk. All the hits off him were bullshit. TA should have had Biggio's tying hit. No excuse he couldn't catch that one.

I'll never forget how Eddings bailed us out in 05, but he is god awful at his job.
