  1. The team doesn't hit homers. Playing in a homer friendly stadium doesn't actually help them.
  2. All bitching aside, the Sox did hit well today and they hit a pitcher that they've historically struggled against. That's an improvement. Now they go to Texas and face 4 pretty bad starters. Hopefully the offense gets hot and we can rattle off some more series wins.
  3. I'd like to go on record to say that I predicted this 19 game stretch perfectly so far. Hopefully I'm also right on the last 10 games. Going 5 over after this stretch is decent. The only problem is that the Twins got a lot better yesterday.
  4. There's a good reason why the Sox lead the league in getting thrown out at home. They're slow and they don't score via the home run.
  5. They'd actually be able to go from 1st to 3rd and score easily on singles with a guy on 2nd. Those 2 things are challenges for the Sox.
  6. He played in the AL last year and in 2019.
  7. If they were actually fast, it wouldn't be as much of an issue. I've never seen a team hit this many singles yet have so many slow ass players.
  8. Part of the reason Harrison has only hit .240 this season is that his line drive rate is down by about 8%. Mostly replaced by ground balls. No one is safe from ground ball mania once they come to the Sox.
  9. Yoan got his one hit and decided to call it a day.
  10. You let him get on and Perez is the tying run.
  11. Oh no, here comes Kendall Walkman again.
  12. He's getting paid $17 million next year and $24 million in 2024 so we better figure it out fast.
  13. Well if Tony doesn't do that and Foster or Ruiz implodes, it looks even worse.
  14. Having to burn Graveman and Hendriks in this game because we couldn't score some runs with the bases loaded and nobody out is frustrating.
  15. Sometimes you get tricked by the launch angle of the ball.
  16. He gave up most of his runs against AL East teams. Against everyone else he's been pretty good. It's very odd.
  17. The team has been successful despite him being kinda awful offensively in the past. So I don't think the whole rebuild hinges on him. It'd be nice if he showed a pulse for more than a few games though.
  18. Another day where we have to use the back end of the bullpen despite the offense hitting well and the starting pitching doing well.
