GT 6/13 White Sox V Tigers 6:10 Chgo Time - Bastard Time
Lynn's stuff got better as the inning went on. 93-94 on the fastball at the end.

His stuff is not where it needs to be right now. He probably gets away with some of these bad pitches when he's throwing 93+. But at 91, even minor league hitters were pissing all over it.

Lynn looks like he's not ready to pitch to Major League hitters.

Katz? Yes or No?
Cease has gotten much better under Katz. Kopech has developed pretty well too. Keuchel was already on the way to sucking and the sticky stuff ban made it worse. The bullpen has been overworked and injured. Every game this team has a chance to win is a close game and eventually your bullpen just can't handle that kind of work load.

Leury Garcia - Tony La Russa and Rick Hahn and beyond....
I'm sure TLR had some influence in Leury re-signing, but let's not give Hahn the benefit of the doubt for being stupid. Just go look at his veteran signings to see the definition of stupid.

Too soon to panic
Also let's not pretend a fully healthy club is anything special. The fully healthy Sox were basically a .500 team in the 2nd half of last year. The 2021 team had a really good May and good June to push them into the 15 over .500 range and just lived off that success the rest of the year cause the division was ass. This team needs to play with everyone clicking to get out of this hole they're in. I really don't see that happening with how often guys get injured and just how bad of a slump some of them are in. They need to rattle off like a 10 game win streak to get back into this race.

I am old enough to remember…
I am old enough to remember that TLR constantly allows his starters to die on the hill when they clearly have nothing left in the tank.

TLR 2022 Thread
They actually won that game, but walking Pujols almost resulted in Jose Iglesias hitting a go-ahead double off Liam Hendriks. IIRC, Tony wanted to walk Pujols because it would allow him to bring in Hendriks since Marshall had not yet faced 3 batters. Pujols was the 3rd batter, so that allowed him to bring in Hendriks to face the next hitter. It worked out, but barely.

TLR 2022 Thread
The 3 best relievers on the roster couldn't pitch today for whatever reason they won't reveal. Bummer hasn't pitched in 4 days, so it's not like he's been overused.

I thought the point of a manager is so he could take blame and attention off the players. Burger and Gio have both had to issue public statements saying "my bad" cause TLR embarrassed the team with his managerial decisions these past few days.

I can understand Graveman and Liam not being available, but what the hell is going on with Bummer that he hasn't pitched since Tuesday? The 10th inning would have been a perfect time to use him with 2 lefties in the first 3 hitters. Liam not being available is also because TLR didn't want to use Jimmy Lambert in a 5 run game last night. He used him in a tie game for almost 3 innings today.- 6/11 White Sox vs Texas Rangers, 1:10
Davis Martin pitched better than him somehow. There's gotta be something wrong with Gio. He's hanging sliders for bombs every start.- 6/11 White Sox vs Texas Rangers, 1:10
I'm not sure what Robert's supposed to be good at with his current approach at the plate. He can't hit anything away hard. He's clearly late on stuff that's inside. Is he only supposed to be able to hit middle middle hangers?- 6/11 White Sox vs Texas Rangers, 1:10
97- 6/11 White Sox vs Texas Rangers, 1:10
I'm not able to watch this game cause it's blacked out for me...this was pretty loud.- 6/11 White Sox vs Texas Rangers, 1:10
It'll probably happen. One of the only positives of the TLR hire was that Jerry was going to give his buddy financial backing to make sure he has enough relievers to win.- Grandal exits game, apparent leg injury
Is there a reason why this game is even scheduled at 1 PM? Aren't Saturday games usually at 6? - Fire Tony Chant
