Gonzalez had no future on this team, so I'm not against trading him. But I thought it would be to help the team compete this year.

This offense loves to pile on. Get that run differential back up and it's like the last series never happened!

Having Beni, Teel, and Peters batting at the bottom of the order is way better than having Junior Perez and Acuna there regardless of who's pitching.

Is Hicks fixed or is this just a good stretch for him? His control has been pretty good, which is almost never the case.

Acuna isn't a good SS either. Colson's definitely been costing us games on defense though.

You can't have Junior Perez and Acuna playing all 3 games in a series and expect to do well.

So they want Beni? A Beni + prospects swap for Rodriguez actually makes some sense.

He's owed a decent amount of money still (around $30 million until 2028). He was also terrible the past 2 years and his peripherals this year are way worse than his ERA (FIP of 4). I wouldn't pay anything of note for him unless the Diamondbacks are picking up money.
