Unfortunately we've been playing bad teams and we've been losing.

Going around .500 against those teams would have won us the division. 3 extra wins right now would be huge.

Yeah they technically still control their own destiny, but with the way the team has been playing, I just don't see them going 7-3.

It's just so disappointing knowing how close we were to basically ending the division this week. This team teased us all summer only to choke in the worst way when it counts. It's just so cruel.

They don't want Beni to play the field. It's why he went with Antonacci.

It's also never leaving this field with that giant wall in left, even if he got more loft.

Cade Smith has been damn near unhittable.

This is like giving up a 3 run homer to Acuna.

They know Kay's been getting into trouble in the 5th, so they took a precaution. Unfortunately, they did it when the bullpen was not fully rested.

So far the 6th inning has been instrumental in this series. Just not for us this time.

Yup. They've been used to patch up a bad rotation and it's finally caught up.

They've relied so heavily on Newcomb and Taylor for 40+ pitch outings that they're probably just extremely fatigued at this point. Our 2 best relievers all year blew 2 of the biggest games of the year.

Especially not the bottom of their lineup.

Newcomb really picked the worst time to start sucking.

Oh boy, this is setting up for Rocchio to kill us again.

With the way Venable managed this, he might have to. I know Kay has had issues recently in the 5th, but the bullpen isn't exactly fresh.

You can't win starting players like Acuna

I don't have a problem cheating in there because you're guarding against a single winning the game for Cleveland. Had Rocchio lined it in front of Antonacci playing normal depth we would be questioning why he wasnt playing shallower. The problem is that the catch was fairly routine and Sam took a terrible route to it.
