Yeah and he sucked so much in the playoffs that the Thunder benched him. He's a jack of all trades, but good at none. He's also an RFA next year, so this is basically a 1 year for 1 year trade. You went from elite role player in Caruso to a mediocre project player. You also get no draft picks on top of it. I hate it and for once I wish AKME didn't make a trade.

Yeah he was decent in his 2 starts, but terrible in that relief appearance. I remember I liked how his change up and sweeper looked though. Anything could happen at this point, but he's trending in the right direction. His scouting grades also aren't that bad. FanGraphs gave him 50+ grades on 4 of his pitches.

I really liked his stuff when he first got called up. Seemed like he had command issues back then, but this 2nd stint has seen better command and better results.

Fedde is on track for a 4 WAR season. None of his peripherals say he's overly lucky, in fact they say that he's basically the pitcher his ERA indicates he is. He's under contract for cheap for one more year as well. If he keeps this up until late July, the Sox should be looking for a guy around top 100 for him. I'd be looking at Giolito-esque value, although the Angels seriously overpaid for him.

No whiffs on the fastball so far. But a 41% whiff rate on the change up. Cutter and slider sit in the 20s.

Yeah we saw that with Giolito. Guys just sat change up and fought off fastballs.

It's how he got a high speed grade from scouts even though he's like barely above league average in sprint speed.

Feels like he has trouble putting hitters away with something other than that change up. When Giolito lost spin rate after the sticky stuff ban, he made up for it with a much more effective slider.

Just watching him, he's like a Giolito re-gen without the velocity Giolito had in 2019 and 2020. The fastball being 92 is encouraging cause I thought he'd sit high 80s.

I remember his slider not being that bad prior to his knee injury in 2021.
