  1. Armstrong keeps missing high
  2. Cmon Colson, just need a medium depth fly ball
  3. Nice takes to draw the walk
  4. That first pitch was the one to hit
  5. Acuna did his job. Now Teel needs to do his
  6. That's like the one thing he should be really good at. I don't know why he keeps trying to be a power hitter up there in situations like that.
  7. Ugh Kwan robbed him
  8. Chase has been awful in these types of situations for the past week. He's getting favorable LHP PAs in big spots and keeps striking out.
  9. This doesn't sound good. We want to play as many games with Cleveland now before they get fully healthy again.
  10. Huge to get this win using only 2 pitchers after the bullpen has been taxed the past 2 days.
  11. Newcomb has to be the 2nd best signing Getz made this off season. He's been so good.
  12. Damn, I didn't know Jake Cronenworth posted on Soxtalk.
  13. You also want to put those gamers in a position to succeed. You think Sam would be hitting the way he is if Venable only played him against LHPs?
  14. You're talking about a 48 PA sample where he could be facing right handed relievers after 2 PAs against a left handed starter. We have no idea how the numbers break down, but what we do know is that in 48 PAs against LHP (in total), he's hitting .171. So clearly, he wasn't hitting against the left handed starters in those games. Keep in mind Will is also hitting him lower in the order to minimize those PAs in games against a LHP. So in that sense, it's working. You want him in there later on in the game to gain the platoon advantage and not have him take a bunch of PAs against pitchers he might struggle against.
  15. Antonacci is hitting .171 against lefties. He's amazing vs. RHP, but he really should not be leading off against LHP. In an ideal world, he and Meidroth platoon at 2B.
  16. Hey, at least this lowers his asking price, no? lol
  17. Yeah Brown is a much better player than anyone they got, but the offer was Brown and 2 FRP for Giannis. Boston's FRPs are basically gonna be 2nd rounders. At least the Heat FRPs have a chance to be in the lottery.
  18. This means they won't have to overpay Kessler, who they might not even get since he's an RFA. Very good use of cap space. Claxton did well with the Nets when Splitter was on their staff.
  19. Crazy how that works. A loss in a game like this probably sinks the team. A win puts them in first.
  20. This has to be like the 3rd or 4th time they've bailed out Dominguez.
  21. Saw that from a mile away. Just kept going high fastball. Any off speed even close will get him swinging. With how they've been hitting I would have just left Acuna in. Good thing it didn't matter.
  22. Sam fuckin Antonacci
  23. Yeah but he put nothing on that throw. He clearly hesitated.
  24. Why did Peters act like they weren't gonna run? There's no reason not to throw that home.
  25. Has he publicly said this?
