I should say that they got way more value than the Nationals did for one player than the Nationals did for 2. If the Nationals got Gray and Ruiz for just Turner, I probably wouldn't be saying this. I realize more control gets them better prospects, but they clearly like Mancini for his leadership and public image coming back from cancer. Them having this much control also means this isn't the last chance for them to get something for them, unlike a rental. I don't think they're desperate to trade them, meaning we'd probably have to overpay to get someone like Mancini, who while good, is not a perfect fit on this team.

Why are we so in love with Mancini? Does the FO really think he can play RF effectively? Also the Orioles have no good reason/incentive to move these guys. They are all under control for the next 1-3 years.
