  1. About as close as he'll get lol
  2. Nick is on fire.
  3. I doubt he's allowed to throw over 65 pitches.
  4. Please stop diving head first into 1B Yermin.
  5. Fuck off Holt that was a strike.
  6. I thought Dahl went on the check swing 2 pitches earlier. Whatever.
  7. Watch Leury swing at the first pitch after this guy has walked just about everyone this inning.
  8. Arihara has had some of the best luck in baseball this year. His xERA is in the 6s.
  9. Offense better put some runs up tomorrow.
  10. I looked over Hendriks' pitch selection and he's throwing fastballs to lefties 86% of the time. It was 72% last year and 68% in 2019. His slider usage in general has gone down almost 10%. His curveball also hasn't gotten as many whiffs as it has in the past, but that could just be due to the small sample size so far, as he's mostly fastball/slider. Out of the 18 sliders he's thrown, only 6 have been in the zone. Maybe 8 are considered pitches that a hitter can actually hit. A lot of them are waste/wipe out pitches. But most importantly, he's only thrown 3 sliders and 4 curveballs to left handed hitters. He threw 22% sliders to lefties last year and 7% curveballs. At least make the lefties worry about your off-speed pitch. I don't care if you throw 99, eventually guys are going to start cheating on the fastball. Today's game proves just that. There's no way Calhoun gets anywhere close to hitting that ball unless he knows a fastball is coming. Unless Liam can no longer throw off-speed pitches for strikes, he should be fine. But I think this issue is very fixable.
  11. It was a slider to Garcia, he hung it and you can't do that against Garcia. But his 3 other home runs given up have all been to lefties. All fastballs.
  12. Yup, remember when he pitched against us in the playoffs and did nothing but spike his slider? That's what he's been doing so far this year.

Tony you son of a b****, you almost gave me a heart attack.
  14. I'm not sure I understand this. There's nobody left in the bullpen and we're starting the guy who can maybe go 60 pitches at most? Why not throw Rodon?
  15. BTW even Nick knew they were gonna intentionally walk Yermin lol.
  16. The scouting report betrays the Rangers. What a terrible pitch by King on 0-2. Great job by Nick to hit it hard. Hendriks has got to start throwing that slider more to lefties. That's where he's gotten burnt a lot this year. Lefties are just keyed in on the fastball.
  17. NICKY 2 STRIKES!
  18. Can't wait for TLR to throw Crochet in the 10th again.
  19. Hamilton is way better than Leury at this point.
  20. Tony probably thought it was illegal to walk someone to get to Billy Hamilton.
  21. lmao they really had Grandal bunt. Thankfully he didn't pop it up.
  22. Did Tony really tell Yaz to bunt?
  23. Robert probably could have gone to 2nd on that. Wet ball.
  24. We should just stop signing relievers from Oakland. Nothing good ever happens.
  25. I always thought he threw his slider a decent amount, but he's just pumping fastballs on there until he gets to 2 strikes it seems.
