Tony La Russa named Manager
It's confirmation bias.

Tony La Russa named Manager
It would have helped if they had an offense outside of Arozarena. It's crazy that he basically singlehandedly got the Rays enough offense to get as far as they did.

Since when did Lance Briggs become a baseball commentator?

Tony La Russa named Manager
If they go TLR with Jerry opening up the wallet this off-season I'm ok with it. Let's be honest, neither Jerry or TLR have that many good years left in them.

I'm pretty sure everyone who didn't think Machado was overrated was irate.

World Series- Dodgers vs Rays
It's actually pretty amazing, but they've pulled Snell early throughout his entire career. He's only pitched beyond the 6th inning 25 times in 108 starts, including only twice in the last 2 seasons (none this year). In a SSS this year, his numbers the 2nd time through the order were actually worse than his numbers the 3rd time through. And in his career, his numbers the 3rd time through the order aren't much worse than the 2nd time through. Cash pulled Snell early against the Astros too and it didn't end up working out (Diego Castillo gave up 3 runs right after Snell left with 2 guys on). He probably knows more about his guys than any of us, but I'm not sure what they really see in the numbers to make a move like they did. At the very least, let Snell pitch to Mookie. He can't hit lefties for some odd reason.

Offseason Targets
Joc Pederson might be hitting himself out of our price range.

World Series- Dodgers vs Rays
They also traded Voit away for Gallegos. They've given away quite a bit of offensive talent for a team that has trouble scoring runs.

Arozarena stumbled coming to home and still made it lmao

What the fuck just happened? Do all Dodgers catchers get the yips in the postseason? lmao

Five Sox get Gold Glove nominations
Urshela is going to win it at 3B.

Five Sox get Gold Glove nominations
McCann and Grandal are going against Perez. One of them will probably end up winning it. I'm just here for when Grandal wins it and half of Soxtalk complains about it.

Mazara and Right Field Thread
Wow I had no idea Yastrzemski was 30. He really came out of nowhere at age 28.

ALCS- Rays vs Astros
And we know what happened last time... Cash overmanaged last night. It's all hindsight, but Snell should not have been taken out at 80 pitches. It's not like he gave up rockets to the 2 guys he let on base. Snell himself was like "WTF are we doing?". Castillo didn't have it and the Astros have probably seen him enough this series to hit him well.

Robert doesn't really strike me as an analytical player. It really seems like he has no plan at the plate half the time. You'd think he'd lay off sliders 5 feet off the plate more if he was looking at how pitchers were attacking him. If he's trying to improve on that aspect, then that's great for him and this franchise. If he can just have good at bats 2/3 of the time, he's going to be extremely dangerous.

Rick Hahn is Sporting News Executive of the Year
Yeah I don't know about this one... Did he do alright as GM last year? Sure. Was he the executive of the year? Probably not. Executive of the year doesn't whiff on 3 of his 5 off-season acquisitions (EE, Cishek, Mazara).

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
I think an option should be added to this poll: Yes it will bother me, but I don't want Tony La Russa to manage this team.
-
NLCS- Dodgers vs Braves
The Braves are screwed. They don't even have starters for the next 2 games and Wright gave them 2 outs.
-
Tony La Russa named Manager
If their intention is to make an AJ Hinch hiring look good, it's working.

Sox Press Conference - 11am 10/12 - RR out as Sox manager
I don't think he said lately. He said he's talked to Cora and Hinch a lot, but that he's talked to Hinch more.

ALCS- Rays vs Astros
The Rays almost blew it. Anderson had nothing out there and Cash left him out there without anyone else warming in the bullpen. It almost backfired on him.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
It could also be a huge distraction given his ties to the Astros.
