Looking at the voting trends, Trump and the GOP really fucked themselves. Democrats outperformed everywhere they needed to. Ossoff lost by 88k votes in November. He's probably going to win by 50k when all the votes are counted. A 130k vote shift in 2 months is almost unheard of in US politics.

I think they have a better shot of taking back the house than than the senate. A lot more Republican senate seats are up for re-election in 2022.

I'm sure most major networks will call it for Ossoff tomorrow when some more Dekalb county votes come in.

I honestly don't understand the point of those rallies. The people who go to them are 99.99% gonna vote for Trump anyhow. I know if I were staunch of enough of a supporter for someone to go to their rallies, you bet your ass I'm gonna vote for them.

If the turnout is indeed 4.6 million, it's only 400k less than the turnout for the 2020 general. That's 90% of the general turnout, which is amazing for a run-off.

Dave Wasserman has called it for Ossoff.

4.6 million total votes according to Georgia SoS. So far, almost 4.4 million counted. So still 200k left, a bit more than what NYT is projecting.

120k votes left, Ossoff estimated to win those by about 44%. The Republicans' last good batch of 54k just dropped and they underperformed in that batch.

That and the 2k stimulus. He basically created that platform for the democrats to run on.

NYT's model says that Ossoff and Warnock are slated to win by 27 and 28% of the remaining vote. That's a huge advantage for the rest of the 233k (that's their estimate). So the estimate the rest of the way is 148K-85K. A 60k margin. If anything, Ossoff actually has some room for error assuming these estimates are correct and he doesn't heavily underperform.

He's gonna have to underperform heavily in the rest of the vote to lose this. Still 200k+ votes left, mostly in dem areas. A 20k deficit with that much left isn't insurmountable.

Decision Desk HQ has called it for Warnock after the Dekalb votes. Ossoff down 3K after Dekalb's dump.

They processed them early this time. They started counting them today. Almost all the votes from Atlanta metro is mail-in ballots so far. I'm interested to see how Warnock/Ossoff do in those counties compared to Biden. Because Ossoff ran quite a bit behind Biden in the general.

I like how Pence had to finally explain that to him during their meeting today.

They did the same thing for Trump on election night. NYT needle has the Dems barely winning, I think it'll depend on the election day turnout.
