Hating on a player because he doesn't conform to the prototypical white-boy baseball player from the 1950's always strikes me as absurd. People are different. People have different cultures. People have different styles, and tastes. Who gives a flying f*** if he wears a chain and tilts his hat? He's paid to hit the ball, not conform to some boring ass preconceived notion of what a baseball player should look like. Personality is a good thing.

He's a zombie. He can barely stay awake in the dugout. It's obvious the team has responded to a skipper who is actively involved in the game, excited, and relatable. Big bonus that he doesn't fall asleep in the dugout.

I don't care about next season right now, but he's been low-key the team's MVP the last 15-20 games. 20 RBIs in 21 games is bonkers. Hopefully he can carry that through the rest of the season, and...maybe even the playoffs.

I agree 100%. There's absolutely no reason for Romy to not be a full-time player. And you have to find some way to keep Elvis in the lineup. He's just been...fantastic. It's a tough spot to be in, because, ideally, you want all three of them in the lineup. I just have absolutely no idea how to go about it.

It was an absolutely ridiculous 9th, but I think we all saw why Oakland is the worst team in baseball. The Sox doing that against Puk was pretty impressive. He's been really good this season. Gotta get the next two, ideally. There's really no room for error the rest of the season.

The demeanor of this team is entirely different since TLR left. They've all mentioned how they are having FUN. How everyone is engaged. How they're yelling at each other. How they're cheering each other on. Making fun of each other. Liam especially has made a point to point this out.

Actually, it completely fucking favors the Sox. I don't understand this mentality. As a competitor, this is what you want. All you can ask for at the end of the season is a bunch of games against the teams you are trailing. It honestly couldn't be any better from my perspective. Almost every win is closing two games on the team ahead of you. Your destiny is almost entirely in your own hands. Sink or swim, it's almost completely in their hands.

Let's see if the Sox can avoid doing what they've done all season after putting together a few wins. Reverting to dogshit, lifeless, losing baseball... They sure as shit haven't convinced me that this isn't more of the same yet. Funny how the team seems to have more energy without TLR in the dugout. I'm sure it's just the team really pulling together to win for him, though. ? Sweep the Twins and I might have some faith.
