  1. We should also put into perspective the competition each faced. MJ was forged playing against some of the greatest teams ever, Larry's Celtics, Magic's Lakers and the Bad Boys Pistons...LBJ only great competition was the mid 2000s Spurs. Give me MJ's assassin mentallity over LBJ any day of the week.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) Seaking of MJ - I love me some MJ. LeBron may not get to 6 rings (who knows, who cares), but right now he's flat out a better baller than MJ ever was. Hell, I'm even leaning that way with Kevin Durant - he's a freak of nature. These guys are bigger, stronger, and better than MJ. MJ would still get his against them if we're talking prime, but if I were starting a franchise today, I'd take prime LBJ or Durant over prime MJ. There, I said it. Flame on. I couldn't disagree more with this post. Steve, I like most of your posts but LBJ is not on MJ's level. Hell, I'd take prime Larry Bird over LBJ. LBJ has the athletic advantage but Bird was a better passer and smarter player. My money would be on prime MJ led team against a LBJ led team all things being equal. MJ would mindf*ck LBJ so bad that Jason Terry's dogging James would look like a day at the park...
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 09:13 AM) LoLakers Growing up I was a huge MJ fan, the man was a sports god in my eyes and I really resented the way the NBA and the media presented Kobe right from the get go as the "next MJ". MJ earned his place in the GOAT debate with achievements, he EARNED it and I felt the NBA wanted to hand Kobe the mantle of the next GOAT just because his game was somewhat similar to Jordan's. Then Kobe got 3 rings in his early 20's (thanks to Shaq) and I thought it would be inevitable that Kobe would surpass MJ and give fodder to his foolish fan base and some ignorant media types that Kobe>MJ. Today with Kobe being in the twilight of his career and still stuck on 5 titles, it's looking more and more like he isn't going to get that sixth ring and surprisingly, I can't say that I'm happy about it. Sure, it's funny looking at the Lakers team that on paper look stacked and seeing them struggle so bad but I've become a bit of a Kobe fan (regardless of his moronic fans) and yeah he sometimes shoots way too much and he's a bit of a prick but he's also a throwback NBA player, the last of a dying breed. With all that said, though it may be impossible but wouldn't he look great in a Bulls jersey right now? He's the elite scoring option we need at SG! I know it ain't gonna happen but crazier things have happened before.
  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 22, 2013 -> 01:38 PM) Huh? Just wanted to see pics. My bad...
  5. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 22, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) Where are the pics from the NFC Championship?!?! On another note. If the Ravens can win, and Ray Lewis either has a sack or any type of impact play Id imagine he has an inside track for MVP. Why would you doubt that he went to the game?
  6. Damn, I missed last night's Bulls/Lakers game, didn't even know they were playing until today. That's what I get for being a negative nelly and not getting NBA League Pass because I thought the Bulls were gonna be awful this year..gonna sign up this weekend.
  7. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 22, 2013 -> 10:48 AM) Who will be the Super Bowl MVP? My prediction it will be Vernon Davis I picked the 49ers to win the SB since early in the season but the Ravens just have something about them this season, they just beat two of the elite QBs in this league, at their house no less...they're like a baseball team that gets hot at the right moment and wins it all. I'll still stick with SF, but I would not be surprised in the least if Baltimore wins, they are peaking right now.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 22, 2013 -> 11:01 AM) Someone should run a contest or something. Like for Sox regular season tickets, for example?
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 21, 2013 -> 11:26 AM) That tantrum was Ditka-esque
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 21, 2013 -> 11:29 AM) where can I find said buttons? lol
  11. Whatever happened to RZZZA? Did he get banned or something?
  12. Congrats 49ers, yeah you to SOXOBAMA , happy for Jim Harbaugh, I've liked him since his Bears QB days. Hoping for a good SuperBowl game.
  13. I'm 6 outta 8 so far, missing on the Denver game that was choked away and Seattle losing to ATL. 49ers 26 Atlanta 24 (wouldn't surprise me though if the Falcons squeeze it out but sticking with SF) Pats 30 Ravens 24 (would love to be wrong here)
  14. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 18, 2013 -> 11:21 AM) Cutler can rest his cannon arm now that he's running the dink-and-dunk offense. Cutler is a "coach killer". It's always somebody else fault why he can't succeed You're in rare form today.
  15. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jan 17, 2013 -> 08:39 AM) Another win for the Bulls. Really wish this team could finish out games. It sucks having 20 point leads and then just barely hanging on or losing at the end. I can't remember another team that has done that as much as this Bulls team. That's where a closer like Rose comes in handy.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 01:34 PM) Do you hate your life as a Bears fans? Don't click this link. http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameon/2013/...estman/1839161/ Oh God, please no
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 03:55 PM) leroy boyd - 5 hours ago I am glad that Rose has deciided to get into the weight lifting to get strongr and improve his mscle levels. This is going to make him much better. I love comments on articles - and of course that guy's name is Leroy Boyd. I hope he is also working on his jump shot, he's improved alot since his rookie year but if he ever developes an elite mid range game, he'll be unguardable.
  18. I'll reserve my judgement on Trestman, hopefully he succeeds, I just hope with all this focus on the offensive side of the ball that we don't become a team that scores alot but also gives up a lot of points. I really want Trestman to keep Marinelli.
  19. I think the Ravens have a good shot vs the Pats, as do the Falcons vs SF. That said, SF beats NE in the SB...I just think it's their year.
  20. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 12, 2013 -> 11:04 PM) A great game tonight. Just got home from the game. Kaep was f***ing incredible today Congrats, You created a lot of haters here but SF have a great shot at a title this year...personally, I'll be rooting for the Niners since they punked GB like I told my buddies they would. Thanx for making me look like I have a clue :lol
  21. I knew GB's D was garbage all along...SFR will get a good challenge from Seattle next next week.
  22. Green Bay's offense is just too good. I still think SF D can get more stops than GB's D.
  23. I know a lot of posters here don't like Ray Lewis...I like him. Go Ravens!!
  24. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 12, 2013 -> 07:29 PM) Haha! Niners suck I understand, you're a Raiders fan...
