  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) Ridiculous lebron wasn't mvp
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 10:09 PM) The Thunder certainly don't have "it" whatever that is. They haven't been the same since losing James Harden. I realize they had a ton of injuries. I tell you, Thibs would have been the perfect coach for that team or maybe Van Gundy. Hiring Billy Donovan is a head scratcher. Hope he's ready to deal with Westbrook, who seems to me to be a real prima donna. As far as the Cavs ... this is why successful college coaches should never consider the NBA. Blatt is getting fried by the media and will probably be fired if the Cavs lose in the Finals. Just because they have LeBron. They are conveniently forgetting Kyrie got hurt and Kevin Love as well. ... Blatt is known in the media and by fans only as the clown who wanted to call a time out when he had none but was SAVED by the great Lue. Kerr is not exactly getting credit, either. NBA coaches are all buffoons in the playoffs as far as the media portrayal of them. Only one coach is acceptable each season, the one who wins it all. The rest get ripped to shreds in the press and with fans and are lucky if they get to keep their jobs. Yes I still think Cleveland is going to win the series.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 02:40 PM) It has. The plethora of injuries is very concerning to me. We can't go 48 hours without a key player going down, or at the very least being severely hampered, by an injury. The last five years has basically been cheer for any team that's playing against LeBron. But even the biggest LeBron hater has to admit it's horses*** that we're not seeing the best players on the best teams healthy and going at each other in June. This finals is basically like when Jordan was going up against the Celtics in the 80's. I don't even want to watch. I know what you're trying to say about LeBron being undermanned but let's not go overboard here. The GSW are far from a proven championship team with 5 HOFers like those 86 Celtics had...anyways, big win for the Cavs. Good to see LeBron being super aggressive and keep shooting the rock, FG% be damned. He's the best player in basketball, sometimes you gotta win ugly games like tonight. What's up with Curry, is he choking? Two overall bad Finals games so far.
  4. QUOTE (HuskyCaucasian @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 03:38 PM) Kyrie is the new DRose KI has always had injury issues, Rose OTOH was pretty durable until that first knee injury.
  5. This postseason really sucked. Most teams got hit pretty bad with injuries, more than usual it seems. Maybe the league should look into shortening the season for the sake of players' health? Won't happen though, that would mean lost revenue.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 08:52 AM) The Cavs have made it clear they would rather mortgage Kyrie's future than give up a chance at this title. He should have been out weeks ago with his knee issues. Yeah, pretty disgusting to watch, IMO
  7. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 28, 2015 -> 11:22 AM) Yeah I remember that. He did it on a national broadcast and also on the Zach Lowe podcast. It was clear trumpeting on Thibs' behalf. Reinsdorf was pissed about it too and that probably sealed his fate. Again though, add in the fact that the Bulls have only progressed so far, and i'm not sure why anyone is that upset about it. He was a great regular season coach and a great defensive coach. And he should get credit for the development of late 1st round talent. But he took them from point C to B and we need someone that goes from B to A. If the players were getting tired of him, which several apparently said so in their exit interviews, then a change has to be made. I'm not convinced he's a championship level coach, his stubbornness, his rotations and some of the plays the Bulls ran after TOs in crunch time during the playoffs were cringe worthy. Good riddance.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 28, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) I've never understood LeBron settling for jumpers other than to hold off some fatigue. If he gets it in his mind to take it to the basket, he cannot be stopped, and GS will be no lock to win. Exactly
  9. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 28, 2015 -> 09:06 AM) Let him shoot. He's been very inefficient so far this post-season. I meant more in terms of when he ISOs and decides to attack the rim.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2015 -> 07:09 PM) If Cleveland's roleplayers are going to continue to play like they are then they are going to have a legit shot at beating GS. I agree, I think they have a real legit chance. I know it's a complete turnaround from when I said at the start of the season that the Cavs had no shot to win this year but adding Mozgov, JR and Shump along with the emergence of TT has really changed this team from what they were earlier in the season when I thought they were soft. They're gonna battle GS and they have no one who can limit LeBron like say, Jimmy Buckets, except for Iguodala if you could time travel back 5 years ago. Their team D is great but what are they gonna do when LeBron ISOs?
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 09:39 PM) No, LeBron didn't go off like LeBron normally goes off. Jimmy Butler is one of the elite, 1 on 1 defenders in the game and he had the 2014 DPOY covering his ass when he got beat. LeBron went off when he had to and facilitated when he had to. That's all I'm saying, his teammates stepped up big time and hit their shots, especially considering LeBron was bricking a ton of open looks. The Cavs manhandled the Bulls, that was a complete team effort.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 09:22 PM) These guys were nobodies before they hooked up with LeBron. You haters are hilarious. You hate on LeBron for having two 'superstars' in Miami even though Wade was hurt every other week and Bosh was soft and inconsistent. Now you want to hype up roleplayers that were either crap or nobody knew about a year ago. So you're saying LeBron went off this series? He carried his team, nobody but LeBron showed up? You LeStans are a joke, if LeBron's team wins, hey he did all the work, no one contributed. His team loses, it's everyone else's fault! Post his FG% and TO rate and I dare you tell me he wasn't subpar.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 08:57 PM) The Bulls wouldn't have won 6 in 8 in the 2000's western conference. And MJ was the consensus GOAT before he even tied Magic in the ring department. Let alone Kareem and the 'great' Bill Russell. So what, LBJ wouldn't be making his 5th NBA Finals if he gets there this year if he were playing in the WC the last 5 years, what's your point?
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 09:00 PM) Love is not in he picture. Smith and Shumpert were rotting away in NY. Nobody knew who Mozgov and Dellwhatever his name was this time last year. So what, nobody knew who was Patty Mills before last year's Finals. My point is they produced when their numbers were called. Give some credit to LBJ's teammates, you know, MJ also got help from teammates, it's ok to admit it.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 08:44 PM) No, they lost to LeBron. No they didn't, LeBron was awful for most of the series. For example GM 4, if the Bulls don't choke and forget how to score and JR Smith doesn't hit those 3 big 3pters towards the end of the games, Bulls win easy and Jamse doesn't get a chance for the game winner. His teammates stepped up huge, LeBron struggled most of the series (check his beloved FG% and TO rate)...did we watch the same series? If the Bulls played even average offensively, they win in 5. GWS and LAC will handle them though, that's if they make it that far.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) If LeBron takes a lottery team the year before with no Love to a title then, yes, i think it would. When LeBron leaves your team, you go from contenders to lottery. When LeBron joins your team, you go from lottery to contenders. You're not even trying anymore, lol. This isn't the same Cavs team as last year's lottery team, they added KLove, Mozgov, Shump, JR Smith, Dellavedova. The only starters from last year are Irving and TT, two very talented young players. Stop acting as if it's the same team with only LeBron and KLove added on.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) It's official: the Bulls are the 90's Jazz, Pacers and Knicks. They will NEVER, EVER beat LeBron James when it matters. LeBron is eight wins away from bumping MJ from his GOAT throne. Cue the hyperbole...right on time
  18. Well, at least we didn't lose to LeBron as much we lost to the Cavs role players. The Bulls on paper were the deeper team but goddam they destroyed the Bulls, outplayed and outhustled them. LeBron had an off series, shot miserably and turned it over a ton, KI was for the most part a cripple, no KLove a JR Smith out two games and still they got humiliated. Way to show up for Thibs. They have to fire Thibs, Bulls have zero excuses for not beating Cleveland. He can take Hinrich with him wherever he ends up.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 13, 2015 -> 06:56 PM) Chris Paul says hello. Advanced stats have proven that the most efficient scoring areas on the floor are at the rim and the 3 pointer (particularly corner threes). Today's game is for the most part predicated on keeping the floor spread. Can't do that if you're shooting 18 foot 2 pointers. So you're saying MJ would have more trouble scoring in today's NBA even though there is more spacing and driving lanes because Paul George would make it harder on him? LOL MJ got to the rim despite facing double or triple teams, legit bigs camping in the lane, defenders were basically allowed to stiff arm and come playoff time, driving to the hole meant getting put on your ass. MJ would be better in this era, easily. It seems to me that people tend to forget just how good MJ was, he literally had no weakness (people point to his 3pt %, back then the 3pt shot wasn't the weapon that it is today, it's still the lowest percentage shot in basketball but a lot more threes are being made because teams are chucking them at unprecedented rates and most teams have a couple of guys that basically that's all they do), despite that, MJ had huge memorable games and shots from behind the three point line (Finals vs Portland, GM 4 vs NY in 93 IIRC). Pretty sure he'd have a pretty good 3pt shot if he played today and he actually worked at it. No one is stopping him one on one... Back to the present, I'm fine with Thibs being shown the door when we lose to the Cavs, the Bulls offense has been the problem, this Cavs team with LeBron playing less than stellar (dat TO rate and FG%, yikes) and the injuries should've been beatable. Those plays in the final moments of GM 5 and coming out of a TO produced a Butler off balanced 3 and Noah with the ball twice, GMAFB.
  20. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 10, 2015 -> 04:11 PM) lolwut... this series is over.. they aren't winning in Cleveland. you don't gift games to Lebron. they had plenty of chances. This LeBron =/= peak LeBron
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ May 10, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) The bright side is I think Cavs look very vulnerable and a decent game from the Bulls will beat them regardless of venue This Bulls played like absolute trash and basically gave this game away. LeBron can also play better but KI is on one foot and KLove isn't a factor. If the Bulls can't beat these Cavs, we'll need to make major changes.
  22. I don't see how CLE would be unbeatable at home with all the injury issues. Irving isn't gonna be a factor and they don't have KLove. Bulls basically gave this game away
