  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) Denver has absolutely killed this draft. Yeah, but they got players who'll leave as soon as they hit FA, lol
  2. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 08:32 PM) Maybe we should trust the organization on the draft front? They've done a pretty good job with drafting over the years. Since I don't follow college ball, God I hope you're right.
  3. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 01:28 PM) Korea yes. Belgium is really a toss up, it will be a tight game. IMO As a fan of El Tri, I'd take playing Belgium over the Netherlands a million times over. The US will beat them, stop underrating them
  4. BTW, the US will beat Belgium or Korea in the next round.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:55 PM) So I know nothing about soccer, but on a scale of 1-10, how surprising is it that the US advanced? 1 being not at all, 10 being shocked beyond belief. A 6? 7? I think the US crowd underrates Team USA, the elite teams like the Netherlands, Germany or Argentina don't roll over Team USA anymore. Are those teams a tier above? Yes but the gap is getting smaller.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:14 PM) Lol Mexican fans cheering for Germany. No jobs for you Lol, you do know there are well off Mexicans that live in Mexico, right. Typical 'murrican comment, SMH.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 10:46 AM) 3-1 Germany 1-1 draw
  8. I understand, all I'm trying to say is going for big name FA is overrated, really, only LeBron right now is the big name player that can instantly make you a contender. Anthony to me just isn't a player that'll lead you to a championship. Great scouting and elite player development is the way to go.
  9. It would be cool that instead of going through the routine 'try and grab a hot FA' thingy most clubs do, we should try and emmulate what SA does. They never make 'splashy' moves but somehow the way they run their organization, they're always contending, and to think that the main cog piece in that machine was picked in the 90s...
  10. I keep watching that Suarez biting incident and while the Italian player is totally the victim here, funny how a bite to the shoulder sends both guys tumbling to the ground, lol. Like a bite to that area somehow takes your legs away. Then, Suarez drops like he got shot in the mouth. I guess I'm just pointing out just how flopping in soccer is so embedded in these guys pysche, everytime I see a player go down, I'm there trying to see if it really was a legit fall or not
  11. You gotta admire Suarez, he plays with a lot of hunger...
  12. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 12:27 PM) <!--quoteo(post=3003809:date=Jun 23, 2014 -> 10:51 AM:name=Jenksismyb****)-->QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 10:51 AM) <!--quotec-->For what though? Stephen A. Smith this morning said Melo's priority is money, but the Knicks and Phil Jackson have made Melo believe that they're not going to offer him max money. More like 100 million (a little more than the 96 max he can get with another team), not the 120+ million max deal. If true, money won't be a big factor in his decision. doesn't sound like he's leaving to me Meh, not a single f*ck gven by me if he doesn't come to the Bulls. I have him figured as someone who would take the money over a chance at a title. He's just using us as leverage and as much as we like s***ting on the FO, if a player you're targeting just doesn't want to be here, really, what can you do?
  13. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 04:47 PM) lol@ do they have enough time now. I dont mind Moreno(sp?) but the PBP guy isnt that good. Yeah, Palomo should just narrate in Spanish.
  14. Two penalties in a sequence of 3 seconds and dat ref called not one.
  15. So many corner kicks and not one decent scoring opportunity
  16. That was my reaction to Mexico's shot that hit the cross bar.
