  1. I just really wish Dallas McPherson regained his former talent and could stay healthy enough to stay on the field. We would be sitting so pretty (aside from our pitching) if KW were to pull off a reclamation project like McPherson. I know hes a lost cause just a wish of mine.
  2. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Dec 26, 2011 -> 10:41 PM) Cubs are in the NL. Miami Marlins are in the NL. They cannot meet in the World Series. One team from the AL and one team in the NL in the World Series.
  3. Well Kenny is aiming high, but geez... KW asks for a lot
  4. This is funny because my girlfriend ordered us Bulls tickets this past winter in Milwaukee against the Bucks and now we get calls from the Bucks like once a month basically begging us to buy more tickets for the "upcoming season."
  5. I usually take the Pace shuttle to the game but that is kinda out of the question for you. When I do drive to the game I usually park over at this one church outside the stadium right alongside the highway. I dont know what time the official Sox lots open to allow you to park especially with the opening of Bicardi At The Park but you might try calling to ask. Also, Im sure they have lots over at IIT on the other side of the 35th El station that you could pay to park at for the day and just walk to the El and Sox game whenever you get back from downtown. I know I havent been too much help but maybe it can help give ya some ideas and options.
  6. We are gathering some of the greatest names minor league baseball has ever known. First Dallas McPherson, now Lastings Milledge, whos next? Ben Grieve?! In all seriousness tho, I love both of these moves. Both add depth at positions needed and may just need a change of scenery to spark their once promising careers. Well done KW.
  7. Can we just make a topic saying, "White Sox listening to offers for all players" and call it a day? Like it was said, the ONLY way Mark gets dealt is if the Yankees or Rangers miss out on Lee and are insanely desperate and act on impulse and give us an insane package.
  8. According to Matt Abbatacola's Facebook (I know...): Probably nothing we already dont know but just thought id pass it along.
  9. I know its MLBTR but I read this and thought id contribute: At Least 7 Teams Interested In Brandon McCarthy
  10. I fully endorse this topic, as the wave is terrible. Although, there was one time that I was pretty impressed with it. The fans did a slow motion and sped up version and reverse motion wave, and for that one instance, I allowed the hatred for the wave not to course through my veins.
  11. We are doing just fine the way it has been going. If it aint broke, dont fix it.
  12. I just saw this on MLBTR and just thought id share it. I have no clue who that is or if anyone really was concerned about this or posted it somewhere else but yea feel free to move this or whatever... Jared Price Traded to A's
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 01:30 AM) From the looks of his hitting video, he has a pretty nice swing from both sides of the plate. Yea I really like that bat bounce he has, it's pretty nice for timing. Granted, I'm sure most people have that, but still, I like it.
  14. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) Not a signing, but signing related: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,5336745.story Looks like his family is very proud of him... enough to make a webpage dedicated to him. Jason McDonald Also, call up his parents and tell them that he should be playin in our organization rather that partying it up at ASU, although I love ASU lol
  15. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 01:03 AM) I'd love to get Wilson this round, then eventually load up on some more LHP's. I sooooooo want the Sox to get Austin Wilson in round 2 but I doubt he makes it to us. But seriously, watching all the scouting videos as well as this one makes me drool to think we could have an outfield someday with Wilson and Mitchell:
  16. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ May 27, 2010 -> 11:05 PM) Hopefully with the AFL and winter leagues he can makeup some lost time and tear up AA next season. I dont know if those were the words I would have used, given the situation... Otherwise, this is great to hear and seeing him in Spring Training he was easily one of my favorite players to watch.
  17. Dye OK With Heavy DH Role Saw this online today, just thought id share it. Thoughts?
  18. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 01:56 PM) He and John have the sense of humor. Jordan has a touch more charisma and is a little more outgoing, but they clearly come from the same mold. I have fond memories of spring of Danks 2 doing everything possible to get in the way of Beckham and Morel while they attempted to warmup. He's a great guy. Having gone to spring training, I can easily say Jordan Danks was the most enjoyable person I had a chance to watch, talk to, and be around. He is such a nice person, signing any autographs, as well as sparking up a friendly conversation with fans whenever there was down time. He would joke around with his teammates, and when it came time to playing the game, he took that fun and brought it to the field every day. He was an all-around fun person to have watched and I love what he can bring to the table in the future. He has some stuff to work on, but everyone does. However, with his attitude and given talents and work ethic, I have no doubt in my mind that he can one day be the successful player that the White Sox are looking forward to.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 11:13 AM) Last night a guy in the first row of the scouts seats threw up every where (it was about the 8th inning and he was super drunk). It was hilarious. Was it worse than this guy? lol Man arrested after vomiting on girl at Phillies game
  20. I saw a Deadspin article about the Sox so I had to read it, pretty sad if you ask me, however, the CGI is pretty hilarious. Heres the original Tribune story followed by the Deadspin one: Tribune: Opening Day Hijinx DeadSpin: Sox story brought to life by CGI
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) I am now friends with him on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php...6399&ref=ts And apparently im friends with Andruw's cousin... and because I dont believe his "cousin" when he told me that, I am invited to a family bbq this summer. Ill be sure to eat Andruw's portion. You know, for the good of the team lol
  22. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 07:55 AM) I think he means how does he get a FIVE inning save in a 9 inning game when only two pitchers picthed? Doesn't the starter have to throw at least 5 innings to qualify for the win? If so, that should have made Colon the pitcher of record I believe. Unless rules are different in ST...? Yea, thats exactly what I was wondering. I dont understand how one can get a 5 inning save when the SP must have at least 5 IP to qualify for the win. Odd...
  23. Maybe i'm the only one wondering this but, how in the hell does one earn a 5 inning save???
  24. My bold prediction: Everyone will learn how to spell Vizquel and Freddy by years end.
  25. Since he is showing some shades of his old defense, I would love to see Jones in RF and have Quentin DH. That would also lower the chances of Quentin injuring himself. However, I think that would diminish Carlos' value and don't really want to do that at this point in his career...
