Ummm, and the state of Illinois is???

Phillies sure seem to be successful at doing that ... look at all the moves they’re accomplishing over there. That’s a rebuild that works and has to be attractive for a final Manny / Bryce piece .......

Why does he care, he will make a heck of a lot more $$$ (guaranteed) in the NFL, regardless of whether he is a bust or not. Much better than rolling for a YO bet in MLB...

There has never been a more true statement, I even used to watch the kids. Bozo Buckets? I mean, come-on, amazing. Then flip to channel 32 for Emergency, the Munster's and the Courtship of Eddie's Father. -
Douchebag to the Phillies. Look at the Yankee odds following the NYPost story, also up....

Wonder if they've properly sold the Chicago media market / commercial opportunities during/after sports.... Hey guys!:

There's nothing poor about Rick Hahn

You can do both big guy .... compare Sox margins vs all other MLB teams. Top 5 most profitable as a percentage. What’s that say?

Some owners try to win, others run for the cash flow ... you tell me, where does the Chairman fit on that spectrum?

Mr. Reinsdorf & Co. have made a lot of money as a result of his loyalty during these years ....

Machado: Update - Manny, do you officially like us?

Odd that an admin continues to engage in personal insults, given recent repost, but particularly when they are so poorly thought out. One can be a lifelong Sox fan, who doesn’t support current ownership and wish to have an owner who ran the franchise for championships rather his partners’ pocketbooks, particularly when they have profited so much. Plenty of examples of other franchises out there being run differently in any number of sports, particularly in major media markets... Just because fans disliked Charles Comiskey doesn’t mean they were bad Sox fans. Same logic applies. -

Wrong to be a fan of an organization and disappointed that they have owners who don’t spend when they’ve become billionaires off our support? Hmmmm. -

Reinsdorf is a cheap bastard, still can’t believe you guys think we’re in the hunt, or would actually do something like this. All hat, no cattle.... another hype job Machado is a Yankee -
The cast: Garland (via minor league trade from Cubs, grew up in Sox farm system) Sweaty Freddy (trade deadline 2004 from Seattle) The Count (trade deadline 2004 from NYY for Loaiza) Buehrle (gifted from heaven to WS organization, homegrown) Jenks (claimed off waivers in 2005 from LAA for $20k and a pack of Marlboros) Pods (offseason trade in Dec ‘04 from Mil for Carlos Lee) Tadihito (offseason ‘04 acquisition from Fukuoka Daiei) JD (offseason ‘04 - 2yr, $10mm free agent) Konks (via ‘98 trade from Reds for Mike Cameron) Crazy Carl (traded back to Sox from MON for Jon Rauch et al Jul ‘04) AJP (Jan ‘05 - 3yr $15mm free agent) Rowand (amateur draft ‘98, homegrown) Joe ‘MVP’ Crede (gifted from heaven to WS organization, homegrown) Uribe (traded Dec ‘03 from COL for Aaron Miles and a resin bag) — A couple good breaks, some timely mid-season moves in 2004 when they were ready to compete. A lot of homegrown, or long time organization talent, two mid-career free agent signings, not too splashy, $75mm payroll (13th in MLB in 2005), no massive free agents Feels too early for the current squad to be doing free agent tuck-ins this offseason. Perhaps some deadline trades and focus on next year with an added year of maturity once we really know what we have / don’t with Eloy and the pitching staff?

1. Crede (should have been ALCS and WS MVP in ‘05) 2. Buehrle 3. LaMarr 4. Paulie 5. Luzinski Honorable mentions: Ribbie and Roobarb, Nancy, Andy the Clown

These two guys really are different, the top two egos in all of baseball ... both want to be in big, showtime markets. Teams like Sox can get real free agents, but not these two clowns (thankfully) ... While Chicago is the best city in the country, it’s not big pimpin’ media like NY or LA. White Sox brought into the mix because their mgmt wanted to be there to ‘excite’ the fanbase that they’re in next phase of rebuild and agents wanted them there to drive prices under the credible ploy of new tv contract in Chicago market and a small payroll. No intention of them getting either. Still two years from real contention, even if some prospects start playing ... Call me a cynic? #AJpartII #MooseKAKis
