Both lefty bats. Both project for power. Lots of people think Colson Montgomery will stat at SS. Wes Kath definitely moves to 3B and possibly even 1B in worst case scenario. They can both hit though.

What a short-sighted organization. They will have a top 10 pick. They will have like 4 top 70 picks if he walks. Could push a top 20 player to 31. But they have really bad ownership so it’s not that surprising.

Disagree. They’ll get the 31st pick if he walks. That’s much better than the trade return they’ll get IMO

They got two of the better prep bats in the class. Two top 50 draft prospects. They also grabbed a solid college starter who will definitely stay in the rotation. The prep pitcher is a bit under the radar but they liked him enough to pay a significant bonus. The 4th rounder is a decent prospect too. They’ll add more talent today and then we can really stack the class in order.

It’s this simple: the scouting department wants to go prep because they’ve done the work and know that the BPA and best strategy is a prep. It’s easy for KW/Hahn to just draft a college pitcher though instead while they’re in a winning window. The media has been talking to scouts all season, hence the reports.

DSL season starts tomorrow

Mack is very good but such a low hit rate on prep catchers is scary. Muncy is a Boras guy so that’s an important note in regards to money at that slot. I’ve heard Gavin Williams medicals are questionable. Doubling up on preps makes most sense to me. There’s lots of college talent to be had later on.
